5. operate the equip FC G l X D on 32 1245 fm Page 4 Tuesday March 7 2000 1 14 PM f e PREPARATION Using AC Power You can power the PA system using the supplied AC cord Cautions The cord s plug must fit the system s 120V AC 60Hz 60W jack The sup plied cord meets these specifica tions Using a cord that does not meet these specifications could damage the system or the AC cord You can order a replace ment cord through your local Ra dioShack store Always connect the AC cord to the system before you connect it to AC power When you finish disconnect the cord from AC power before you disconnect it from the system Set the amplifier to OFF Plug the power cord s plug into the amplifiers 120V AC 60Hz 60W jack Then plug the other end of the cord into a stan dard AC outlet 120V AC 60Hz 60W o Caution The supplied power cord has a polarized plug that fits into the outlet only one way If the plug does not fit properly turn it over and try again Do not force it Using Vehicle Battery Power You can power the PA system from a vehicle s 12V power source such as a cigarette lighter socket using the supplied DC cord Cautions You must use a power source that supplies 12V DC and delivers at least 2500 mA Its plug must fit the system s DC 14 4V 2 5A jack The supplied adapter meets these specifications Using a cord that does not meet the

9. e system away from dust and dirt Wipe the system with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it look new Modifying or tampering with the am plifiers internal components can cause a malfunction and invalidate its warranty and void your FCC authori zation to operate it If your amplifier is not performing as it should take it to your local RadioShack store for assis tance REPLACING THE FUSE If the PA system stops operating properly you might need to replace the fuse in the back of the system or the in line fuse in the DC cord Important Turn off the PA system and let it cool Then try operating it again before you replace the fuse Caution Do not use a fuse with rat ings other than those specified Doing so might damage your amplifier o In the Back of the PA System 1 Set ON OFF to OFF and unplug it 2 Insert a flat blade screwdriver into the fuse holder s cap located on the back of the amplifier gently press in the cap and rotate it counterclockwise until the fuse cap unlocks 3 Remove the fuse holder s cap then pull out the fuse 4 If the fuse is blown the inside wire is broken remove it and replace it with a 1 5A 125V fuse 5 Insert the fuse holder s cap back into the socket on the back of the amplifier 6 Carefully tighten the fuse holder s cap by pushing it in and rotating it clockwise until it locks In the DC Cord 1 Unplug the DC
