R RadioShack ife Wise Infrared Ear Thermometer 63 1517 Step One Installing Batteries You will need Two AAA batteries e Renove the battery conpartrent cover e Insert two batteries in the battery con partrrent as indicated by the polarity syirbols Fanc marked inside e Replace the battery cover and snap into place Step Two Using the Infrared Ear Thermometer e Press the button to tum on the therronrreter All display segrrerts appear loniefly followed by beeps appears and the LCD dspay lights for a nonert e Insert the thenrvorreter s probe into the ear canal as follows For children one year or older and adults pull the ear slightly backwerd to straighten the ear canal Then insert the probe in the ear as far as it goes Be sure the probe fully seals the ear canal Hold this position untl the measure ment is conpleted For an infant less than one year old pul the ear straight back and insert the probe directly against the ear canal e Press the button until the ear thernroreter sounds a long beep e Remove the therrorreter fromthe ear canal and read neasurerrent If you want to take another neasurerrent weit until the I appears on the LCD display If no additional neasure ments are taken within one minute the ther noneter tums off autormatically Protect the thenrorreter with the probe cap after each use Your Temperature Err appears when you use the thermometer in
