3. electrical shock be sure unit is unplugged from an elec trical outlet If unit has been operated allow unit to cool before in stalling Counter must be made of a non combustible material clean and free of debris Locate and drill four mounting holes in counter top Remove legs from unit and secure to counter top using threaded mounting holes previously occupied by legs Seal the perimeter of unit where it meets the counter top with a silicone sealant GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS This appliance is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with a grounding plug which must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded In the event of an electrical short circuit grounding reduces the risk of elec tric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current WARNING Improper use of the grounding can result in a risk of electric shock Consult a qualified electrician or serviceman if the grounding instructions are not completely understood or if doubt exists as to whether the appliance is properly grounded Start up Plug the Crisp n Hold a properly grounded electrical recep tacle 2 Ensure all plastic and packaging materials have been removed Set POWER switch to ON position Do not load product into the cabinet Allow the heat to remove any residual oils which may adhere to inside metal surfaces A slight emission of smoke is normal for the first few hours of operation

8. gt A 5 Appiance is preset at the factory no temperature adjustment is necessary CAUTION HOT SURFACE Inner surfaces of the unit will be very hot during and after operation Avoid touching the cabinet when loading or removing product To increase turn set screw clockwise NORMAL OPERATION Daily operating procedures Prior to use unit must be installed properly and tested by a trained installation or service professional 2 Unit must be clean and grease free prior to use 3 Verify that the grease pan heat duct and air filters are installed properly 4 Turn power on by flipping the toggle switch the motors should begin to turn and create airflow Unit will automatically begin to preheat allow 20 minutes for unit to climb to operating temperature of 160 degrees F 6 Load product into Crisp n Hold Product Divider Food Bay THERMOSTAT CALIBRATION The thermostat has been factory pre set at 175 F 79 C It is located behind the back panel and it is recommended that qualified service personnel make adjustments 1 Turn off unit and disconnect from electrical power before attempting to adjust the thermostat setting 2 Locate a temperature probe in geo center of the product tray 1 2 inch above the bottom of the grate 3 Remove the back panel and locate the thermostat at the center left Turn clockwise to increase the temperature setting counter clockwise to decrease the tem
9. liance should be thoroughly cleaned before use See CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS page seven Refer to SHIPPING DAM AGE CLAIM PROCEDURE on bottom of this page FREIGHT DAMAGE PROCEDURE NOTE For your protection please note that equipment in this shipment was carefully inspected and packaged by skilled personnel before leaving the factory Upon acceptance of this shipment the transportation company assumes full responsibility for its safe delivery IF SHIPMENT ARRIVES DAMAGED 1 VISIBLE LOSS OR DAMAGE Be certain that any visible loss or damage is noted on the freight bill or express receipt and that the note of loss or damage is signed by the delivery person 2 FILE CLAIM FOR DAMAGE IMMEDIATELY Regardless of the extent of damage Contact your dealer immediately 3 CONCEALED DAMAGE If damage is unnoticed until the merchandise is unpacked notify the transporta tion company or carrier immediately and then file a CONCEALED DAMAGE claim with them This should be done within fifteen 15 days from the date the delivery was made to you Be sure to retain the con tainer for inspection Pitco cannot assume liability for damage or loss incurred in transit freight damage is not covered under war ranty We will however at your request supply you with the necessary documents to support your claim INSTALLATION amp START UP WARNING Risk of personal injury Installation procedures must be performed by a qua

13. perature setting 4 Replace back panel plug unit into properly grounded outlet and turn on unit 23 Observe probe temperature to see if desired temperature has been achieved NOTE The heating system should cycle at least two times after the last ad justment to achieve accurate calibration CLEANING PROCEDURES gt CAUTION 1 After all food products have been removed from the cabinet turn the Srey SHOCK power switch to OFF and allow the cabinet to cool Disconnect appliance from electric power before cleaning 3 Remove and clean the grease crumb pan from the bottom of the unit by sliding it out towards the operators side of the unit Clean the pan as well as pan housing Unplug the unit prior to any cleaning CAUTION HOT SURFACE 4 air filter can be easily removed without tools for cleaning by lifting up and pulling towards the front of the unit Clean by hand washing or run through an automatic washer Reinstall when filter is dry and Exposed surfaces can be hot clean to the touch and may cause T burns Allow appliance to cool 5 Remove the product dividers and food bay bottom Clean the inside before cleanin of the unit as well as the removed parts Reinstall when all parts are 9 dry and clean IMPORTANT DONOT 6 Inspect and clean the areas where there are vents making sure no water gets into the internal controls or electrical areas of the cabinet spill or pour w
