1. 0 i e You can use the SCART AV connector or the S video or component video jacks to connect to the AV receiver if you prefer Connecting using HDMI DV 490V only If you have a HDMI equipped monitor or display you can connect it to this player using acommercially available HDMI cable The HDMI connector outputs uncompressed digital video as well as almost every kind of digital audio that the player is compatible with including DVD Video Video CD Super VCD CD and MP3 1 Use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI OUT interconnect on this player to an HDMI interconnect on a HDMI compatible monitor Connecting up CH e The arrow on the cable connector body should be face up for correct alignment with the connector on the player Note e This unit has been designed to be compliant with HDMI High Definition Multimedia Interface Depending on the component you have connected using a DVI connection may result in unreliable signal transfers e When you change the component connected to the HDMI output you will also need to change the HDMI settings to match the new component see HDM Out on page 35 HDMI Resolution on page 36 and HDMI Color on page 36 to do this However the settings for each component are then stored in memory for up to 2 components e The HDMI connection is compatible with 44 1 kHz 48 kHz 16 bit 20 bit 24 bit 2 channel linear PCM signals as well as

18. 8_En Replacement and mounting of an AC plug on the power supply cord of this unit should be performed only by qualified IMPORTANT THE MOULDED PLUG Blue Neutral Brown Live your plug proceed as follows letter N or coloured BLACK letter L or coloured RED his appliance is supplied with a moulded three pin mains plug for your safety and convenience A 5 amp fuse is fitted in this plug Should the use need to be replaced please ensure that the replacement fuse has a rating of 5 amps and that it is approved by ASTA or BSI to BS1362 Check for the ASTA mark D or the BSI mark on the body of the fuse f the plug contains a removable fuse cover you must ensure that it is refitted when the fuse is replaced If you lose the fuse cover the plug must not be used until a replacement cover is obtained A replacement fuse cover can be obtained from your local dealer If the fitted moulded plug is unsuitable for your socket outlet then the fuse shall be removed and the plug cut off and disposed of safely There is a danger of severe electrical shock if the cut off plug is inserted into any 13 amp socket f a new plug is to be fitted please observe the wiring code as shown below If in any doubt please consult a qualified electrician MPORTANT The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured marki
