4. mains voltage is different consult your dealer Important The wires in the mains lead are coloured according to the following code BLUE NEUTRAL BROWN LIVE If the mains plug or adaptor contains a fuse the value of this fuse should be 3 Amp Alternatively if another type of plug not fused is used the fuse at the distribution board should not be greater than 5 Amp If the colours of the wires in the mains lead do not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug proceed as follows The BLUE wire must be connected to the terminal marked N or coloured black The BROWN wire must be connected to the terminal marked L or coloured red Before replacing the plug cover make certain that the cord grip is clamped over the sheath of the lead not only over the two wires A _ ECW __X A o ec i nt o0 A Connecting the loop aerial if provided The loop aerial will give satisfactory reception under good signal conditions Fix the loop aerial bracket at the mounting socket located on the back of the TV Connect the aerial plug to the ar socket on the TV If you want to use the TV in conjunction with other equipment which connects to the aerial socket such as TV games or video camera we recommend that these are connected via a combiner unit to avoid repeated connection and disconnection of the aerial plug SE ce M M o O K

10. e TV PROG AERE SEARCH FREQ FOF AMP WEL Goeth A NEL 3 The control buttons needed to select the TV system and store the TV stations are located beneath the control panel flap on the front of the TV You must pull this flap forward to access the control buttons during installation and can close it once any required changes have been made Open the control panel flap on the front of the TV v To select the TV system P S PAL I SECAM This information only applies if your TV can receive several TV systems e Press the Y button to select the available systems lf P S is displayed on the screen then you have selected the PAL or SECAM B G system If PAL I is displayed on the screen then you have selected the PAL system If SECAM is displayed on the screen then you have selected the SECAM L system e To change your selection press the button again until the system you require is displayed on the screen rv To store TV stations on program numbers Upto 60 TV stations can be stored on program numbers using the following method 1 Press the gt lt gt button so that information is displayed on the screen about the current program number 2 Press the E button so that the TV automatically searches until a TV station is found and displayed on the screen Press this button again if you want to continue searching 3 Select the required program number 0 to 59 by pressi

12. kets L and R on the TV TUNING CONTRAST General information v and J To store TV stations directly First you must know the frequency on which the TV station is being transmitted e Open the control panel flap on the TV 1 Press the P F button to switch to frequency setting 2 Select the frequency using three digit buttons on the remote control handset e g to select channel E4 the digit buttons 062 must be pressed and to select channel 69 the digit buttons 855 must be pressed 3 Press the lt gt button to display the program number information 4 Select a program number using the digit buttons on the remote control handset 5 Press the 2 lt gt button to store these changes 6 Press the P F button to switch to program number setting e Close the control panel flap on the TV vw To fine tune the picture quality The picture from a TV station or a device such as a video recorder may be affected by interference e g frorn other strong signal sources The picture quality may be improved using the following method Open the control panel flap on the TV 1 Press the lt gt button to display the program number information 2 Press the CD or LI button and release it immediately so that the picture is fine tuned 3 Press the gt lt gt button to store these changes e Close the control panel flap on the TV v and 22 To change the per
13. must refer to the operating manual supplied with your video recorder for connection details e Switch off the TV before connecting the video recorder e Connect the TV aerial cable to the I input on the video recorder e Connect one side of the cable supplied with the video recorder to the TV output of the video recorder and the other side of the cable to the I input of the TV Additionally e A video recorder or camcorder can be connected at the video audio Input sockets cinch type at the front of the TV for playback of tapes only or e The video recorder can also be connected at the Euroconnector socket at the back of the TV a support bracket is also provided for the Euroconnector cable on the back of the TV The Euroconnector gives the advantage of stereo sound reproduction from a suitable video recorder note To obtain an optimal sound and picture signal we advise that you do not connect the video audio input sockets and the Euroconnector simultaneously v To store the video recorder signal on a program number After you have connected the video recorder to the IT socket you can store the video recorder signal on a program number e Switch on the TV e Open the control panel flap on the TV 1 Insert a pre recorded tape in the video recorder and press the PLAY button on the video recorder 2 Press the gt lt gt button so that the program number information is displayed
14. ng the P or gt P program button The selected program number is displayed on the screen 4 Press the gt button to store this selection The program number information is now removed from the screen Repeat steps 1 to 4 until all the TV stations you require have been stored on program numbers e Close the control panel flap on the front of the TV note You can write your TV station selections in the table provided in the inside cover Operating the TV T POWER ORTGRAM CLUE SOLU J You can now operate your TV either using the remote control handset or directly using the TV buttons e Switch on the TV by pressing the D power button located on the front of the TV To select TV stations using program numbers After the TV is switched on To select TV stations using program numbers 0 to 9 e Press the appropriate digit button on the remote control handset The selected program number and TV station now appear on the screen e Press a different digit button to make another selection To select TV stations using program numbers 10 to 59 e Press the button P is displayed on the screen e Press two appropriate digit buttons The selected program number and TV station now appear on the screen e Repeat the above procedure to make another two digit program selection To select a lower or higher program number e Press the V P button to select a lower program number e Press th
