1. MIXING Slowly guide mixer around sides and through center of bowl going in the same direction Be careful not to overbeat the mixture Overbeating tends to make some mixtures tough Whenever scraping of the bowl is required stop the mixer and scrape sides and bottom of bowl with a rubber spatula as needed Turn speed control to OFF or 0 and rest mixer on its heel rest while adding ingredients Be sure to position beaters over mixing bowl so any drippings will fall back into mixing bowl English 4 When mixing is complete set speed control to 1 and raise beaters slowly from batter to clean off clinging food Be sure to turn unit to 0 before raising beaters completely out of mixing bowl EJECTING BEATERS OR DouGH Hooks Be sure speed control is at the OFF or 0 position and cord is removed from electrical outlet Scrape off any excess batter with a rubber spatula Grasp the stems of the beaters with your hand and press the beater eject button Beaters will release into your hand INSTRUCTIONS FOR TOOL USE Two mixer tools are used as follows Beaters For easy mixing of dough eggs cream mayonnaise and for mixing or stirring sauces and pudding powders Dough Hooks For the preparation of heavy yeast dough or short pastries Also potato dough dumplings and potato pancakes Set the position selector to 0 position Insert the end part of the dough hook or the beater into one round opening on the

5. any part of the mixer set the position selector to the OFF or 0 position then unplug the cord from the outlet and eject the beaters Be sure to dry all parts thoroughly before using them again 2 The beaters may be washed in hot soapy water or in a dishwasher 3 The mixer and the cord can be cleaned with a damp cloth but the final clean must be with a dry cloth 4 To remove stubborn spots wipe surfaces with a piece of cloth slightly dampened in soapy water or a mild non abrasive cleaner 5 Do not use any abrasive cleaner or material to clean any part of the hand mixer as it can harm the body of the product STORAGE Hold the plug end by hand and press the cord retract button to reel the cord into the mixer housing failure to hold plug may cause plug to whip around Note that the last few inches of cord may need to be pushed into the housing while the release button is depressed Store the hand mixer on its heel rest in a clean dry location such as a cabinet or shelf Store beaters in a drawer MAINTENANCE Other than the recommended cleaning no further user maintenance should be necessary If for any reason your hand mixer should require repairs do not try to fix it yourself Send it to the nearest Authorized Sunbeam Appliance Service Center CAUTION The speed of the cord reel is high Please hold the plug end by hand before pressing the release button Do Not ALLOW CHILDREN TO USE RETRACTABLE CORD FEATURE

7. underside of the mixer paying attention to the left and right position press and turn slightly until it is engaged in the correct position How To RELEASE BEATERS AND DoucH Hooks Press down eject button The hook or beaters can then be easily removed How To USE THE MIXER 1 Set the position selector to the 0 position Unplug the mixer insert the beaters or dough hooks 2 Insert the plug into a working electrical outlet 3 Place ingredients into a bowl Place the mixer handle directly in the center of the bowl 4 Select the speed setting that matches your mixing needs 5 Operate the mixer 6 Guide the beaters continuously through the mixture Whenever you wish to scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl first move the position selector to the 0 position Then place the mixer on the heel rest so that the beaters can drain into the bowl 7 When stirring heavy dough do not insert dough hooks more than 1 inch deep into the dough so as to avoid some dough being drawn into the machine English 5 CARING FOR YOUR MIXER CLEANING Wash the beaters before and after every use Beaters may be washed in a dishwasher After removing cord from electrical outlet clean mixer head with a damp cloth and wipe dry DO NOT IMMERSE MIXER IN WATER This may cause electric shock injury or damage to the product Avoid the use of abrasive cleaners that will damage the finish of your mixer CARE AND CLEANING 1 Before cleaning

AS THE CORD MAY CAUSE INJURY English 6 How To ADJUST THE SPEED 1 You can select a speed by turning the position selector to the speed required from Speed 1 to Speed 5 2 No matter where the position selector is situated you can get a higher speed immediately by pressing the Burst button NOTE Do not press the Burst button if the position selector is at the O position This may damage the mechanism SELECTION OF SPEEDS Speeds 1 through 5 For continuous use of stirring beating or mixing of ingredients and thin batters May also be useful for whipping egg whites or flour into various doughs May be used in mixing cake dough making sauces and even heavy doughs SPEED GUIDE FoR HAND MIXER SPEED MIXING TASKS 1 Stir Use when stirring liquid ingredients or when mixing dry and liquid ingredients together alternately in a recipe Use when preparing any of the ready prepared or packaged instant puddings 2 Mix Use when a recipe calls for combining ingredients together Use for quick breads or muffins that require a brisk action just enough to blend 3 Blend Use when preparing cake mixes or for directions calling for medium speed Use to cream butter and sugar together 4 Beat Use when preparing a frosting from a recipe or package Use when whipping cream for desserts 5 Whip Use to mash potatoes to develop a light and fluffy texture Use when whipping egg whites BURST OF POWER During especially heav
