IED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE During this one year period NuTone will at its option repair or replace without charge any product or part which is found to be defective under normal use and service THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT EXTEND TO FLUORESCENT LAMP STARTERS OR TUBES FILTERS DUCT ROOF CAPS WALL CAPS AND OTHER ACCESSORIES FOR DUCTING This warranty does not cover a normal maintenance and service or b any products or parts which have been subject to misuse negligence accident improper maintenance or repair other than by NuTone faulty installation or installation contrary to recommended installation instructions The duration of any implied warranty is limited to the one year period as specified for the express warranty Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts so the above limitation may not apply to you NUTONE S OBLIGATION TO REPAIR OR REPLACE AT NUTONE S OPTION SHALL BE THE PURCHASER S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS WARRANTY NUTONE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH PRODUCT USE OR PERFORMANCE Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state This warranty supersedes
3. ecurely BATTERY INSTALLATION 1 2 Install four 4 D size batteries as shown in Figure 4 For longer life alkaline batteries are recommended ATTACHING CHIME COVER 1 2 Place cover over base Refer to Figure 5 Secure cover by placing mounting tab into slot at back of base u REPLACEMENT INSTALLATION OJIA oN Turn off house power until installation is complete Remove cover from existing chime and disconnect wires from terminal screws Label all wires Front Transformer Rear as you remove them NOTE Any additional wires for example common or side should be individually capped with wire nuts or sealed with electrical tape and pushed back into the wall cavity These wires are not needed Remove existing chime base from wall Pull wires through holes in new chime base Use provided screws to mount base to wall Connect wires to terminal screws marked Front Transformer and Rear on the chime base Place chime cover securely over the base Restore house power to chime MOUNTING TAB MOUNTING SLOT ral CHIME BASE x FIGURE 5 One Year Limited Warranty WARRANTY OWNER NuTone warrants to the original consumer purchaser of its products that such products will be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one 1 year from the date of original purchase THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPL

5. u INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS READ amp SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS Viking Door Chime MODEL LA 107 SERIES INSTALLING THE WIRING 1 Use standard bell chime wire 20 gauge two conductor e For use with either a transformer or batteries 2 Run wires as shown in Figure 2 for installation using transformer 3 Run wires as shown in Figure 3 for installation using batteries LOCATION SS MOUNTING CHIME BASE TRANSFORMER Mount a 10 or 16 volt transformer to a conveniently located junction box Attic location is not 1 At chime location cut a 1 diameter hole for pushbutton and recommended For best performance a 16 volt transformer is transformer wiring in the wall recommended 2 Pull wiring through two holes in chime base t i t t chi t Il Mak PUSHBUTTON The chime is designed for two note 3 Use two provided screws to mount chime base to wall Make sure keyhole mounting hole is at top operation Select pushbutton locations at front and rear or side y a P doors Do not use lighted pushbuttons with battery operated Refer to Figure 4 chime NEW INSTALLATION USING BATTERIES FRONT DOOR PUSHBUTTON NEW INSTALLATION INSTALLING TRANSFORMER pe aoioone REAR DOOR PUSHBUTTON Disconnect house power until installation is complete All wiring must comply with local codes 1 Use a NuTone transformer 16 volts 10 watts 2 Refer to Figure 1 Mont transformer to a conveniently located junction box Do not mount t
