6. e securely while making sure that the blade cannot be extracted even though you try to pull it out A CAUTION e If you tighten the screw without the pin on the slider fitting properly in the hole in the blade shank the pin or the blade shank will be damaged This may cause the blade to be extracted unexpectedly during operation To remove the blade follow the installation procedure in reverse 001666 1 Blade clamp sleeve 2 Released position 3 Fixed position 001667 1 Blade 1 Blade clamp sleeve OPERATION For JR3030T To install the saw blade always make sure that the blade clamp sleeve is in released position before inserting the saw blade If the blade clamp sleeve is in fixed position rotate the sleeve to the released position Insert the saw blade into the blade clamp as far as it will go The blade clamp sleeve rotates and the saw blade is fixed Make sure that the saw blade cannot be extracted even though you try to pull it out NOTE e f you do not insert the saw blade deep enough the saw blade may be ejected unexpectedly during operation This can be extremely dangerous To remove the saw blade rotate the blade clamp sleeve in the direction of the arrow fully The saw blade is removed and the blade clamp sleeve is fixed at the released position NOTE e f you remove the saw blade without rotating the blade clamp sleeve fully the sleeve may not be fixed In this case rotate the b

8. itch trigger actuates properly and returns to the OFF position when released e Switch can be locked in ON position for ease of operator comfort during extended use Apply caution when locking tool in ON position and maintain firm grasp on tool To start the tool simply pull the switch trigger Tool speed is increased by increasing pressure on the switch trigger Release the switch trigger to stop For continuous operation pull the switch trigger and then push in the lock button To stop the tool from the locked position pull the switch trig ger fully then release it A CAUTION e Always be sure that the tool is switched off and unplugged before carrying out any work on the tool 002508 1 Hex wrench 002509 Slider Pin Blade clamp Screw Blade Hole Oak wD a Installing or removing the saw blade A CAUTION e Always clean out all chips or foreign matter adhering to the blade blade clamp and or slider Failure to do so may cause insufficient tightening of the blade resulting in a serious injury For JR3030 To install the blade loosen the screw on the blade clamp with the hex wrench Insert the blade between the blade clamp and the slider so that the pin on the slider fits into the hole in the blade shank If the pin cannot easily fit into the hole remove the hex wrench from the screw and then try again After the pin fits properly into the hole tighten the screw clockwis
9. lade clamp sleeve fully then make the sleeve fixed at the released position A CAUTION e Always press the shoe firmly against the workpiece during operation If the shoe is held away from the workpiece during operation strong vibration and or twisting will be produced causing the blade to snap dangerously e Always wear gloves to protect your hands from hot flying chips when cutting metal e Be sure to always wear suitable eye protection which conforms with current national standards 002518 MAINTENANCE 001145 Ban 4 1 Limit mark 002522 1 Brush holder cap 2 Screwdriver e Always use a Suitable coolant cutting oil when cutting metal Failure to do so will cause premature blade wear Press the shoe firmly against the workpiece Do not allow the tool to bounce Bring the blade into light contact with the workpiece First make a pilot groove using a slower speed Then use a faster speed to continue cutting A CAUTION e Always be sure that the tool is switched off and unplugged before attempting to perform inspection or maintenance Replacing carbon brushes Remove and check the carbon brushes regularly Replace when they wear down to the limit mark Keep the carbon brushes clean and free to slip in the holders Both carbon brushes should be replaced at the same time Use only iden tical carbon brushes Use a screwdriver to remove the brush holder caps Take out the worn carbon brushes
