16. the front of the slide switch to lock it To stop the tool press the rear of the slide switch then slide it toward the O OFF position 4 5 2 3 ASSEMBLY 001046 Speed adjusting dial The rotating speed can be changed by turning the speed adjusting dial to a given number setting from 1 to 5 Higher speed is obtained when the dial is turned in the direc tion of number 5 And lower speed is obtained when it is turned in the direction of number 1 Refer to the table below for the relationship between the number settings on the dial and the approximate rotating speed A CAUTION e f the tool is operated continuously at low speeds for a long time the motor will get overloaded and heated up e The speed adjusting dial can be turned only as far as 5 and back to 1 Do not force it past 5 or 1 or the speed adjusting function may no longer work The tools equipped with electronic function are easy to oper ate because of the following features e Electronic constant speed control Possible to get fine finish because the rotating speed is kept constantly even under the loaded condition e Soft start feature Soft start because of suppressed starting shock e Overload protector When the tool would be employed over the admissible load it will stop automatically to protect the motor and wheel When the load will come to the admissible level again the tool can be started automatically A CAUTION e
17. tter during use and guard helps to reduce chances of personal injury 1 Lock nut 2 Depressed center grinding wheel Mount the inner flange onto the spindle Fit the wheel disc on Multi disc the inner flange and screw the lock nut onto the spindle 3 Inner flange 4 Spindle 001084 To tighten the lock nut press the shaft lock firmly so that the spindle cannot revolve then use the lock nut wrench and securely tighten clockwise To remove the wheel follow the installation procedure in reverse Lock nut wrench 2 Shaft lock 001115 Installing or removing abrasive disc Remove all dirt or foreign matter from the pad Screw the pad onto the spindle with pressing the shaft lock Attach the disc to the pad so carefully that the edges of disc and pad overlap each other without protruding 1 Abrasive disc 2 Pad 3 Spindle 001157 To removing the abrasive disc pull off its edge from the pad OPERATION 002983 10 A WARNING e t should never be necessary to force the tool The weight of the tool applies adequate pressure Forcing and excessive pressure could cause dangerous wheel breakage e ALWAYS replace wheel if tool is dropped while grinding e NEVER bang or hit grinding disc or wheel onto work e Avoid bouncing and snagging the wheel especially when working corners sharp edges etc This can cause loss of control and kickback e NEVER use tool with wood cutting blades and othe
