4. down until the Infinity arm snaps into position Fig 54 Place Modeling light in to light bracket F Rediadng ROC Handle Batteries The battery life of your ROC Handles will vary depending on usage and technique But eventually the handle batteries will exhaust The handles will signal when the battery power is becoming low The handle LED will blink eight times after any button is pressed This is a signal to change the batteries prior to the next dive Replacing the handle batteries is an easy procedure However pay special attention to the wear of the O ring and to the orientation of the batteries You will need to purchase the ROC Handle O ring battery kit P N 802 0117 Using a 3 32 hex key remove the two hex screws on the back of the handle Fig 55 Remove the Handle Cap from the handle assembly Remove old batteries from handle board Install new 1 3 N batteries into the handle board Fig 56 Service Handle Cap O ring or replace with a new O ring Press the Handle Cap into the handle assembly so O ring seals evenly Replace both hex screws in Handle Cap and tighten using hex key ROC Handle O ring and Battery Kit part 802 0117 Kit contains one O ring 3 32 hex key and two batteries for one ROC Handle Redlagng Hande Thread Rings The Handle Thread Rings that attach the ROC handles Fig 57 to the Titan housing are designed to absorb shock should the Titan be dropped or fall If the Handle Thread Rings experience ext
5. moisture Reach inside the housing and trace a finger around all view ports and mating surfaces If any water is detected contact the housing reseller or the Light amp Motion service department BWN PR Canera Preperation Remove the camera s strap from the canera Attach the desired lens for use Remove the camera s lens cap Remove the rubber accessory cap from the bottom of the carrera Fig 1 The Titan s Carrera tray has a pocket for the cap to be stored when the carrera is on the tray Fig3 Remove the hotshoe cover Place battery board onto camera battery Read next section Battery Board Install a fully charged EN EL3 camera battery Install a media card We recommend a least a 1GB size card BWNP ONO Battery Boardi TheTitan D100 s Battery Board is the component that dlows the Titan s Focus button located on the right handle to function No other housing functions are affected If you choose not to use the Battery Board you can use the mechanical shutter for auto focus You received two battery boards with your Titan D100 housing One is a spare and can be stored inside the Titan s rear plate Fig 7 amp 8 1 Remove the non stick paper covering the Battery Board s adhesive side 2 Orient the Battery Board to the contours of the battery and press into place Fig 6 The Battery Board adhesive is meant to be strong enough to hold the board onto the battery yet easy to remove when attaching th

16. head and wires through port in Titan Check the O ring and sealing surface of the bulkhead Insert the wires of the new bulkhead through the port of the Titan Hand tighten bulkhead into port Tighten the bulkhead with a 3 4 wrench Insert the wire plug from the bulkhead in to the connector on the circuit board Guide bulkhead wires under the retaining bracket and tighten screw If installed correctly the bulkheads should be flush to top of housing N Fig 26 W OMONAWS Attading Syrc Cables to Titan Fig 27 Fig 28 Nkan Sye 1 Align the index mark on the sync cord with the guide merk on the Titan bulkhead Push the sync cord into the bulkhead connector 2 Turn the threaded connector until it is seated firmly into the bulkhead 3 If the sync cable has a locking ring turn the locking ring until it is hand tight and secured the sync cable Vdinae Sye 1 Lightly apply silicon grease to Wetimete sync cable contacts Align all five pins of the Wetmete Sync cable with the five pin receptor of the bulkhead Fig 29 Fig 30 2 Push firmly until the pins are firmly seated in the bulkhead Fig 18 H If you decide to dive without strobes attached disable the strobe signal by using the L R Strobe Off function Wetmete sync cords and bulkhead performance is designed to be impervious to water To ensure long term performance flush with fresh water and dry contacts if exposed to salt water Apply silicone
17. housing in fresh water While in fresh water work the dias levers and all the buttons to work any remaining salt water out of the housing Remove housing from rinse tank and then simply towel dry Don t abandon your Titan D100 in the rinse tank It s not uncommon for another housing or camera to be carelessly dropped into the rinse tank Other equipment falling onto your Titan D100 can scratch ports or damage the housing body O ring Core and Mrarberarre O rings ave the critical component that keeps water out of the housing Routinely inspect o rings and replace at least once a year If your O rings are damaged contact the Light amp Motion service department for an o ring replacement kit Follow these steps for proper o ring care 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 The sealing system used on the rear plate incorporates two o ring This is the most crit ical area of the housing for maintenance and should be inspected before every dive Make sure the rear plate o rings and the mating surface on the inside of the main hous ing are dean from git hair lint and anything that could potentially breach the o ring seal After frequent diving or if O rings appear dirty remove o rings and clean the grooves To remove o rings use finger pressure or the rounded edge of a plastic card to lift the o ring out of the goove Never use a metal object to remove an o ring It will cause dam age to the o ring and mating surface To
18. ight handle Fig 43 LEDs together or independently Sea amp SeaYS 30 The handle LED should blink 4 times indicating the Focus button switching to Focus lock 2 Enter the camera s menu and select the CSM menu In the CSM menu scroll to sub menu 14 and enter In this sub menu change the setting to AF ON Fig 45 or whichever optoin you prefer button to the AE L AF L function To use the auto focus lock press the Focus button The camera will auto focus and continue to refocus as long as the button is held down W hen the camera is focused at the appropriate distance release the Focus button The camera will keep focus locked at the same distance until the Focus button is pressed again Then the camera will readjust the focus distance Press together and hold to save strobe profile To return the Focus button to haf shutter return the menu focus setting to its prior setting and press the Sub and Strobe buttons until the handle LED blinks twice Fig 39 Lang ROCfo araa foo s sdet This feature requires the Focus button to be set up in the AE L AF L function outlined in the previous section 1 Press and hold the Focus button Fig 46 2 While holding the Focus button press the Sub button Fig 47 Press these buttons to Press strobe select button to adjust You will see the focus area highlighted in the view finder increase or decrease strobe power strobes together or independently 3 Continue holding t
19. is ready to take a photograph this is just a power saving mode To check the power level of the strobes when ROC is in Stand By mode press any of the strobe but tons on either handle This will not ater the ROC power settings but will return ROC to an ON status ROC is powered by the camera s battery W hen the canera is off ROC is off Poganmmryg RC ROC can only function successfully by knowing the type of strobe s being used It is necessary to progam ROC prior to using the Titan underwater Once ROC is programmed it will never have to be reprogrammed unless a different model strobe is used ROC will retain its programming even when the ROC is in the off status ROC s default strobe profile is for Sea amp SeaYS 90D X 90 60 50 If you are using different strobe s use the following procedure to change the ROC strobe profile Press and hold the and buttons on the left or right handle Fig 35 until the REC LEDs begn to pulse W hen the LEDs are pulsating ROC is in programming mode Press the or buttons on the ROC handles Fig 36 to position the LEDs in the appropriate LED setting for your strobes Refer the chart in Fig 38 to determine which LED setting is for which strobe Use the L R Strobe button to select and program both strobes simultaneously or to program the left and right strobes independently Fig 37 If both LED are moving both strobes are being programed If only one LED is moving only one strobe is being prog
