7. available at plumbing supply stores to connect the water line to the refrigerator OR you can cut off the flared fitting with a tube cutter and then use a compression fitting Shutoff valve to connect to the cold water line The shutoff valve should have a water inlet with a minimum inside diameter of 5 32 at the point of connection to the COLD WATER LINE Saddle type shutoff valves are included in many water supply kits Before purchasing make sure a saddle type valve complies with your local plumbing codes INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Install the shutoff valve on the nearest frequently used drinking water line 1 28 SHUT OFF THE MAIN WATER SUPPLY Turn on the nearest faucet to relieve the pressure on the line CHOOSE THE VALVE LOCATION Choose a location for the valve that is easily accessible It is best to connect into the side of a vertical water pipe When it is necessary to connect into a horizontal water pipe make the gt connection to the top or side rather than at the bottom to avoid drawing off any sediment from the water pipe DRILL THE HOLE FOR THE VALVE Drill a 1 4 hole in the water pipe even if using a self piercing valve using a sharp bit Remove any burrs resulting from drilling the hole in the pipe Take care not to allow water to drain into the drill Failure to drill a 1 4 hole may result in reduced ice production or smaller cubes CONNECTING THE WATER L

The icemaker water valve will buzz as the icemaker fills with water If the power switch is in the I on position it will buzz even if it has not yet been hooked up to water To stop the buzzing move the power switch to O off NOTE Keeping the power switch in the I on position before the water line is connected can damage the icemaker e You will hear the sound of cubes dropping into the bin and water running in the pipes as the icemaker refills PREPARING FOR VACATION Set the icemaker power switch to O off and shut off the water supply to the refrigerator If the ambient temperature will drop below freezing have a qualified servicer drain the water supply system to prevent serious property damage due to flooding from ruptured water lines or connections CONNECTING THE WATER LINE BEFORE YOU BEGIN This water line installation is not warranted by the refrigerator or icemaker manufacturer Follow these instructions carefully to minimize the risk of expensive water damage Water hammer water banging in the pipes in house plumbing can cause damage to refrigerator parts and lead to water leakage or flooding Call a qualified plumber to correct water hammer before installing the water supply line to the refrigerator To prevent burns and product damage do not hook up the water line to the hot water line If you use your refrigerator before connecting the water line make sure the icemaker power switch is in the O

17. 2 With other hand use pliers to insert snap ring as 1 Plug the refrigerator s power cord into a 3 prong shown grounded outlet Move the refrigerator into its final 3 Insert additional snap rings until the doors are aligned position Three snap rings are provided with unit 2 Turn the leveling leg clockwise to raise that side of the refrigerator or counterclockwise to lower it It may take several turns of the leveling leg to adjust the tilt of the refrigerator NOTE Having someone push against the top of the refrigerator takes some weight off the leveling legs This makes it easier to adjust the legs AAN 3 Open both doors again and check to make sure that they close easily If not tilt the refrigerator slightly more to the rear by turning both leveling legs clockwise It may take several more turns and you should turn both leveling legs the same amount 4 Re adjust if necessary 5 Replace the base cover NOTE Your new refrigerator is uniquely designed with two fresh food doors Either door can be opened or closed independently of one another You may have to exert slight pressure on doors to get them to close completely 15 USING YOUR REFRIGERATOR ENSURING PROPER AIR CIRCULATION In order to ensure proper temperatures air must flow between the refrigerator and freezer sections As shown in the illustration below air enters at top of the freezer and circulates down From the bottom of the freezer a

CAUTION When laying the drawer down be careful not to damage the floor or hurt your feet by the sharp edges on hinge side 13 REFRIGERATOR INSTALLATION HOW TO REMOVE AND INSTALL THE e Make sure you have a right rail cover for each side PULLOUT DRAWER IMPORTANT To avoid possible injury or product or property damage you will need two people to perform the following instructions Right Rail Cover 2 Installing Pullout Drawer e With both hands hold the center bar and push it out to let both rails out to full extension simultaneously e Align the top holes of the rail cover with the top holes of the door supports to assemble the rail covers e With the drawer pulled out to full extension insert the lower basket 4 in the rail assembly A WARNING To prevent accidental child and pet entrapment or suffocation risk DO NOT allow them to play inside of drawer A WARNING DO NOT step or sit down on freezer door 14 REFRIGERATOR INSTALLATION LEVELING AND DOOR ALIGNMENT Door Alignment Leveling If the space between your doors is uneven follow the instructions below to align the doors Your refrigerator has two front leveling legs one on the right and one on the left If your refrigerator seems 1 With one hand lift up the door you want to raise at unsteady or you want the doors to close easier adjust the middle hinge refrigerator s tilt using the instructions below

INE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS CONTINUED 4 FASTEN THE SHUTOFF VALVE Fasten the shutoff valve to the cold water pipe with the pipe clamp Pipe Clamp A Saddle Type _A Shutoff Valve Vertical Cold Water Pipe NOTE Commonwealth of Massachusetts Plumbing Codes 248CMR shall be adhered to Saddle valves are illegal and use is not permitted in Massachusetts Consult with your licensed plumber 5 TIGHTEN THE PIPE CLAMP Tighten the clamp screws until the sealing washer begins to swell NOTE Do not overtighten or you may crush the tubing Washer Pipe Clamp Inlet End Clamp Screw 6 ROUTE THE TUBING Route the tubing between the cold water line and the refrigerator Route the tubing through a hole drilled in the wall or floor behind the refrigerator or adjacent base cabinet as close to the wall as possible NOTE Be sure there is sufficient extra tubing about 8 feet coiled into 3 turns of about 10 diameter to allow the refrigerator to move out from the wall after installation 29 Saddle Type Shutoff Valve Packing Nut Outlet Valve 7 CONNECT THE TUBING TO THE VALVE Place the compression nut and ferrule sleeve for copper tubing onto the end of the tubing and connect it to the shutoff valve Make sure the tubing is fully inserted into the valve Tighten the compression nut securely Compression Nut Ferrule sleeve NOTE Commonwealth of Massachusetts Plumbing Cod
