Network cable DHCP sensor router Network cable e g Fritzbox Broadcast path PC Laptop PC Laptop 146 SHORT TECHNICAL GUIDE CHANNEL PACKAGE The channel package for a digital transponder normally includes several TV and radio programmes Each channel package has a fixed assignment for the transponder transmission frequency for polarisation horizontal or vertical for the symbol rate and for the Viterbi rate or error rate DiSEqc DISEgC Digital Satellite Equipment Control is a communication system between a satellite receiver master and the peripheral satellite Components slaves such as LNBs multi switches rotating antenna systems lt is a single master multi slave system i e there is only ever one master in the satellite system All activities start from the master DiSEqCTY COMPONENTS If DISEqC switching matrices are cascaded the master receiver must transmit the DiSEqC signal several times so that all DiISEqC M multi switcthes in the cascade receive their commands These days DISEQC components slaves must be reverse compatible i e respond to the analogue switching criteria from receivers that are only equipped with H V and 22 kHz control signals A DiSEqC switching matrix will work with analogue switching criteria until the DiSEqOo command from the master is received All analogue switching criteria are then ignored DVB MPEG 2 DVB is the abbreviation for Digital Video B

User Preference menu under Appearance Setup every time you change channel or can be displayed permanently by pressing the x button RADIO CHANNEL INFORMATION The message for the set radio channel has the same layout If a radio channel supports Radiotext plus you will see the display RT alongside the channel identification The available radio text is shown in the UFS 822 display CHANNEL INFORMATION Press the 5 button twice to view information on the current channel if transmitted by the channel provider Use the OD buttons to scroll through the pages OPTIONAL CHANNELS Some channels offer you the facility to select special optional channels e g for football or Formula 1 broadcasts Press the a yellow button once to view further soundtrack selection options if these are transmitted by the channel provider Use the y buttons to scroll through the available channels and press the button to select them Pressing the 8 yellow button a second time returns you to the normal options menu Pressing the O yellow button again or pressing the button exits this display again 31 ON SCREEN DISPLAYS OSD ERROR SIGNALLING No signal indicates that an error has occurred in the reception system or in the receiver settings or that the transponder is not transmitting Check the Sat IF connection and the LNB configuration lf you have changed settings compare them against the basic setting

Favorites list You can set up a total of eight favorites lists incl radio for you favorite TV channels Each family member can then save their own favorite channels and call them up at any time RENAME FAVORITE LIST Press the 0k button to access the menu Select the favorites list you want to rename using the y buttons and confirm the selection with the button You can now use the on screen keypad operated as described under Alphanumeric Inputs to name or rename the favorites list DELETE FAVORITES LIST Press the ok button to access the menu Select the favorites list you want to delete using the y buttons and confirm its deletion with the 0 button Use the buttons to select OK and confirm again by pressing the button 63 ORGANIZE CHANNELS Note Only the favorites list is deleted the channels in the favorites list are retained ADD REMOVE CHANNELS FAVORITE LIST Press the button to access the menu Use the OD buttons to select the favorites list to from which you want to add or delete channels and confirm your selection with the button Add Use the OD buttons one channel up down or the ON buttons sideways to select the channel you want and press the button to transfer it into the favorites list You can add more channels to the current selected favorites list in the same way You can also sort the channels first according to the following criteria by satellite green
