RSELF OTHER PERSONS OR ANIMALS WORKING WITH DETERGENTS The high pressure setting is used for cleaning you cannot apply detergents when working at high pressure To apply detergents you must be operating at low pressure Step 1 Install the wash brush or the variopower nozzle Set the variopower nozzle to the low pressure setting by turning the nozzle collar The nozzle must be set in the low pressure position to apply detergents Step 2 Place the filter end of detergent suction tube into the jug Step 3 Turn on the pressure washer Pull trigger to operate unit Liquid detergent is drawn into the unit and mixed with water Apply detergent to work area from bottom to top Do not allow detergent to dry on surface For best results see Cleaning Tips on pages 9 amp 10 for specific information on how to clean different surfaces Always Use Karcher Detergents for Best Results Karcher biodegradable detergents are specially formulated to protect the environment and your pressure washer Special formula won t clog the suction tube filter and will protect the internal parts of the pressure washer for a longer life For Karcher Detergents check your retailer or call 1 800 465 4980 The following Karcher detergents are available e Pressure Wash e Deck Wash e Degreaser e Touchless Vehicle Wash A Caution Never use e Tri sodium pho

TING Disconnect the machine from the power source before making any repair Symptom Motor will not start Unit does not reach high pressure Output pressure varies high and low On Off switch is in the OFF O position Solution Turn switch to the ON I position Power cord is not plugged in Plug in power cord Extension cord is too long Extension cord is not proper gauge Extension cord is damaged Replace extension cord with either a 25 ft 12 2 gauge cord or a 50 ft 10 2 gauge cord Electrical outlet does not supply adequate power Diameter of garden hose is too small Try a different outlet Replace with a 1 2 inch or 5 8 inch garden hose Water supply is restricted Check garden hose for kinks leaks and blockage Not enough inlet water supply Open water source full force Water inlet filter is clogged Remove filter and rinse out in warm water Power nozzle is in low pressure position Not enough inlet water supply Turn power nozzle to high pressure position Turn water on full force Check garden hose for kinks leaks or blockage Pump is sucking air Check that hoses and fittings are air tight Turn off machine and purge pump by squeezing trigger gun until a steady flow of water emerges through the nozzle Water inlet filter is clogged Remove filter and rinse out in warm water Discharge nozzle is obstru

8. machine and void the warranty IMPORTANT PRECAUTIONS continued Water Supply Cold Water Only e Water hose must be at least a 1 2 inch or 5 8 inch in diameter e Flow rate of water supply must not fall below 2 GPM gallons per minute e Flow rate can be determined by running the water for one minute into an empty 5 gallon container e The water supply temperature must not exceed 104 F 40 C e Never use the pressure washer to draw in water contaminated with solvents e g paint thinners gasoline oil etc NOTE Dirt in the feed water will damage the unit To avoid this risk we recommend fitting a water filter Always prevent debris from being drawn into the unit by using a clean water source and an accessory water filter if required ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Attach the handle to the frame Attach the gun hose storage Insert the detergent tray into of the pressure washer Align handle the slot holes insert bolts and thighten with the knobs BKC Step 6 we Step 4 Step 5 Screw in the fastener Pull out the locking slide from the right side of the trigger gun handle Insert the small end of the high pressure hose into place Push the locking slide back into the trigger gun to lock the hose in position ERATING INSTRUCTIONS Step 1 Connect the high pressure hose to the unit
