DI OUT TUBE 50 100 MANUAL 4 0 REPLACING TUBES SERVICE AND PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE Your TUBE 50 TUBE 100 features factory equipped EL34 and 12AX7A Hughes amp Kettner tubes Hughes amp Kettner tubes are first burned in and then checked for their electrical and mechanical properties microphonics selected and matched and then given a final audio and response test once they have been installed in the amplifier One of the most important steps in the testing process is power tube matching i e selecting and pairing tubes with identical cha racteristics When should you replace tubes The tubes in your TUBE 50 TUBE 100 are of an exceptionally high quality and will last extremely long If you do encounter a problem first check whether one of the following situations apply Is the defect a problem caused by a defective or worn out tube or is there actually a peripheral problem for instance a defective speaker cable that caused damage to the tube If this is the case unless you correct the defect first the problem will recur once you have installed a new tube Did the AC power supply fluctuate during operation Whereas digital equipment often malfunctions when the power supply dips below a minimum value all tube amps tend to malfunction when the power level rises above a certain value Generators and faulty high power circuits often cause these power fluctuati ons Did a fuse trip although there wa

5. 2 CHANNEL SELECT Schalter 3 FX REVERB ON OFF 3 2 DIE GAIN UND PEGELABSTIMMUNG Gleiche Lautst rke f r alle Grundsounds oder optimale Qualit t f r jeden einzelnen Grundsound eines dieser Ziele steht bei der Pegelabstimmung eines Amps immer im Vordergrund Bei dem TUBE fallt es Dank der leistungsgeregelten Endstufe leicht eine f r beide Ziele geeignete Reglereinstellung zu finden M chtest Du alle vier Grundsounds des Amps nutzen so emp fehlen wir die folgende Vorgehensweise Nimm s mtliche Soundeinstellungen bei maximalen Ausgangspegel an der Gitarre vor Konzentriere Dich zun chst auf die Abstimmung des VOLUME MODE A Reglers im CHANNEL 1 stelle die gew nschte Lautst rke den gew nschten bersteuerungsgrad ein Beachte dabei das besondere Verhalten des POWER AMP Reglers e Schalte nun auf den MODE B des CHANNEL 1 um und stimme mit GAIN und MASTER den zweiten Grundsound entsprechend ab 3 3 DIE REVERB FX SCHALTUNG Dein TUBE erm glicht ein komfortables Umschalten des internen Halls und externer Effekte im Einschleifweg via Frontplatte STA GEBOARD SCHALTER 3 oder MIDI Die Umschaltung kann dabei f r beide Funktionen zusammen oder auch nur f r eine ein zelne Funktion erfolgen 20 410 OF TONE Hinweis Bitte beachte da zur Umschaltung mittels STAGEBO ARD oder via MIDI der CHANNEL und der AMP MODE Wahlschalter auf der FRONTPLATTE auf Stellung AUS stehen nicht gedr ckt sind

Sound etc Solche Anzeichen machen einen Austausch n tig denn sie f hren nicht nur zu schlechteren Klangergebnissen sondern sind Vorboten f r ein bevorstehendes Ausfallen der betroffenen R hre HINWEIS Vom R hrentausch aus Spa am Soundexperiment ist abzusehen Die hierbei entstehenden Kosten k nnen durch unsachgem es Handeln unerwartet steigen und er brigen sich durch die aufwendigen Testreihen bei der Entwicklung des TUBE Beim R hrentausch sind folgende Punkte zu beachten Der R hrentausch sollte ausschlie lich durch technisch qualifi ziertes Fachpersonal erfolgen Ein anschlagsabh ngiges gleichzeitiges Aufleuchten der POWER TUBE STATUS LED s w hrend des Spiels mit gr eren Lautst rken ist normal und deutet auf korrekt arbeitende Endr hren hin Wie kann man die Lebensdauer von R hren verl ngern TECHNOLOGY OF TONE Leuchtet eine der POWERTUBE STATUS LED s permanent Kathodenschlu so mu die entsprechende R hre und zus tz lich ihre interne Sicherung ausgetauscht werden berpr fe auch die ANODENSICHERUNG F llt diese sofort nach dem sie ersetzt wurde wieder aus so ist eine R hre defekt selbst wenn keine POWERTUBE STATUS LED s einen Kathodenschlu anzeigt Bei gr eren Lautst rken leuchten bei korrektem Betrieb die POWERTUBE STATUS LED s anschlagabh ngig auf Zeigt eine einzelne R hre dieses Verhalten jedoch nicht so kann von einem Defekt dieser R hre oder ihrer Sock
