Havis Shields EQUIPMENT CORPORATION Dome Light KR DL Installation Instructions Warning Please read all instructions and warnings prior to installation of the Dome Light TOOLS REQUIRED Phillips Screw Driver Wire Cutter HARDWARE Supplied in Kit Qty Description Qty Description 2 8 32 Machine Screw 2 8 Fender Washer 2 8 KEP Nut 2 8 Sheet Metal Screw INSTALLATION 1 Mounting e A drill template is provided on the back of this instruction sheet Detach the template position it on the desired location for installation and mark drill locations Caution Before drilling holes ensure that the mounting surfaces are clear and that the screws will not damage the internal parts of the vehicle Caution Ensure that the Dome Light is installed in areas recommended by the vehicle manufacturer e Drill the mounting holes e Connect the power leads using wire splices e Remove the template prior to installing the fixture Secure the base of the fixture in position using the supplied machine screws washers and nuts Caution Thread forming screws are supplied for alternate installations If the fixture needs to be mounted with thread forming screws please note that it may not always be sufficiently secured It is at the sole discretion of the installer to determine the suitability of using thread forming screws for a particular installation e The fixture is supplied with two clear lenses and two red lenses Instal2. l two lenses suitable for the vehicle e Test the fixture for proper operation Consolidator Kwik Raze Collins Dynamics Kwik Kit PrisonerTransports K 9Transports 75 Jacksonville Rd P O Box 2099 Warminster PA 18974 800 524 9900 215 957 0720 P 215 957 0729 F www Havis com Caution The Dome Light uses bulbs which can be VERY HOT Do not touch a bare bulb when it is lighted 2 Operation e The fixture has two switches which control each of the two lamps independently e Pressing each switch once turns the lamp on and pressing it a second time turns the lamp off 3 Troubleshooting e Inthe event of improper operation first check that the switches are turned on e Second check the each bulb and replace if burned out e Third check the fuse if installed and replace 1f necessary e Finally use a voltmeter to ensure that the fixture is receiving adequate power The light requires nominally 12 VDC for correct operation Voltage must be measured using the fixture power leads not the vehicle chassis Correct any faults found REPLACEMENT PARTS Part Description KRM89073 17 Automotive Type 918 Replacement Lamp 7 Watt 12 VDC NIN cee rel E ed et et eterh chee healed A aia A rel Saha sete ele lacks CMO TIETE o loia TEMPLATE 0 17 11 64 Drill Wireway Mounting Holes 5 5 16 KR DL INST 9 05
