6. ns please call 1 800 444 3353 Page 3 5 From the underside of the workbench put the appropriate size washers lock washers and nuts on the bolts Repeat these steps for the second mounting hole Tighten all the nuts securing the Vise to the workbench This will mount it in a permanent position See Figure 2 Mounting Holes Qty 2 Back Jaw 1 Figure 1 Figure 2 USING UNMOUNTED CARPENTER S VISE 1 Choose the location for working with the unmounted Vise Attach the Back Jaw with Clamp 1 by turning the T Handle 4 clockwise until the Bushing 5 not shown is flat against the under side of the workbench Tighten securely See Figure 3 2 Turn the Handle 7 counterclockwise to open the Front Jaw 2 of the Vise Place the work piece inside the Jaws Tighten the Jaws against the work piece by turning the Handle 7 clockwise until your work piece is held securely against the Jaws 1 amp 2 Caution Damage could occur to your work piece if you overtighten the Handle 7 Pads or pieces of hardwood stock not included can be attached to the Jaws 1 amp 2 for further protection to your work piece See Figure 3 3 To remove the object you are working on turn the Handle 7 counterclockwise two to three times opening the Jaws 1 amp 2 Remove your work piece Back Jaw 0 ORY Ea a ee a ee ch aD a a ee i es A M wm re Eag Sa SER 44 with Clamp 1 se a Front Jaw 2 ee ee T Handle 4 Hand

8. s Illustration page 6 are includ ed If any parts are missing or broken please call Harbor Freight Tools at the number shown on the cover of this manual as soon as possible NOTE Please refer to the parts listed on page 7 of this manual Use 3 16 diameter bolts of the appropriate length when mounting your Vise Bolts Lock Washers and Nuts for mount ing are NOT provided You can mount the Vise or use it in a portable manner depending on what product you are working on MOUNTING THE CARPENTER S VISE h 9 oo A Use the two mounting holes on the Vise Back Jaw with Clamp 1 as a template Set the Vise flat on the workbench and with a pencil mark the points at which to fasten the Vise onto the workbench Set the Vise aside Drill two holes of the appropriate size where previously marked with a pencil through the top of the workbench Caution Before drilling holes check for hidden electrical wires or cords in drilling path Carefully set the Back Jaw 1 of the Vise with the two Mounting Holes corresponding to the holes previously drilled through the top of the workbench See Figure 1 next page Insert two 1 4 diameter hardened steel bolts not provided of the appropriate length downward through the Back Jaw 1 and the drilled holes in the workbench The length of hardened steel mounting bolts will vary depending on the thickness of workbench the Vise is to be attached to SKU 95203 For technical questio
