4. mounting points when Step 1 above is performed Purchase three bolts nuts and flat washers that are the appropriate length for the thickness of the workbench and add one inch 1 of length to the length of the bolts for the vise Mark and drill the holes through the workbench using the base as a template for the three mounting tabs on the base of the vise Mark and drill the reinforcing plate using the base of the vise as a template Position the vise on the workbench and line up the holes drilled in Step Three with the holes in the mounting tabs Insert bolts into the mounting tabs and through the workbench as shown in Figure One Note Remember to attach the reinforcing plate underneath the workbench then thread on the nuts and tighten the bolts 38388 Page 3 Clamping Do not overtighten You can damage or crush your material If crushing begins STOP o __Donotovertighten You can damage or Crush your Mate Az A A 1 Open vise by turning the handle 10 counterclockwise until you have 1 4 of space between your material and each jaw of the viso 5 Hold material between the jaws while you slowly tighten the vise by turning the handle clockwise 3 When your material is snug between the jaws stop tightening 4 Tighten the vise until you can no longer move the material you are working on DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN 5 When finished working on the material turn the handle counterclockwise This will release the m
