12. oid allowing loose items like screws or nails etc to be stored with tool as these or similar items can short battery packs and cause a fire or explosion Always unplug the charger when not in use and store in a dry secure place Using the screwdriver Direction of Rotation Forward and Reverse The screwdriver has a rocker type switch for operating the screwdriver in forward or reverse To operate the screwdriver in the forward direction depress the top half forward arrow of the switch 2 To operate the screwdriver in reverse depress the bottom half reverse arrow of the switch 2 To stop the screwdriver release the switch and allow the motor to come to a complete stop 11 Inserting and removing bits 1 Select an appropriate bit and Insert it into the hexagonal hole in the chuck bit retainer 1 The screwdriver is now ready for use 2 To remove the screwdriver bit you simply remove the existing bit by pulling the bit out of the chuck bit retainer 1 Maintenance e Store the tools instruction manual and where necessary the accessories in the original packaging In this way you will always have all the information and parts on hand If the cordset of the charger is damaged or worn have it repaired or replaced by an authorised service centre in order to avoid a hazard Service to the tool should only be performed by qualified repair persons using identical replacement parts This will ensure the safet
13. ore the energy that operates the screwdriver Do not attempt to charge the screwdriver with any other charger than the one supplied IT IS DANGEROUS TO USE ANY OTHER CHARGER TO CHARGE YOUR TOOL Ensure you have read all of the safety notes in the previous pages before using the screwdriver Charging IMPORTANT Before plugging in the charger 3 into the mains power supply always ensure that the mains power switch is turned off IMPORTANT The tool will be fully charged after approximately 90 seconds The screwdriver can remain in the charger with the charger turned on without damage being done to the cells Note Do not leave the screwdriver in the charger turned on unattended Place the screwdriver into the charger 3 vertically with the bottom of the screwdriver aligning with the charger as per the picture shown Push the screwdriver down until you hear it click into place Note If the screwdriver is incorrectly orientated the screwdriver will not enter the base 10 2 When the screwdriver is fully inserted into the charger the needle on the meter will indicate the approximate level of charge This will occur whenever the screwdriver is inserted with or without the charger plugged in and regardless or whether the switch is turned on or not 3 Plug in the charger and switch on at the power supply The screwdriver will now begin charging The charge level is indicated by the needle gauge on the charger
