1. 12 Loosely fasten the hinge assembly to the edge using 2 machine screws 8 9 Remove the 2 nuts washers and the 2 machine screws 8 13 Hold the door on its side with one hand and fasten the remaining 2 screws as shown Then tighten the 2 screws 8 holding the hinge assembly 10 Remove the hinge assembly by removing the 2 machine screws 8 that fasten it to the frame Pull the hinge assembly out and set it aside Installation Instructions REINSTALL NUTS AND HINGE COVER 14 Place the door on its edge Assemble the 2 machine screws 8 washers and nuts Tighten using a wrench and screwdriver So 2 ak oN y Sy Q 15 Place the hinge cover in position Align the hinge cover holes with the holes in the door REASSEMBLE DOOR ASSEMBLY IMPORTANT Make sure there is no dirt or any other foreign material in between the window panes 17 Place the plastic cover onto the inner door and lock in place with the 4 tabs Top of Door 19 After reversing door there will be a mismatch between the outer door and the inner door Make sure that the handle part of the outer door is opposite the hinge as shown Installation Instructions 20 Turn the door over and fasten the outer door to the inner REINSTALL DOOR ASSEMBLY door using the 6 large tapping screws 10 23 The door is now ready to be installed on the dryer To ease this step the hinge has keyholes that allow a p
2. lo ALCOVE OR CLOSET INSTALLATION If your dryer is approved for installation in an alcove or closet it will be stated on a label on the dryer back The dryer MUST be vented to the outdoors See the EXHAUST INFORMATION sections 3 amp 4 Minimum clearance between dryer cabinet and adjacent walls or other surfaces is O in either side 3 in front and rear Minimum vertical space from floor to overhead cabinets ceiling etc is 43 in without pedestal 55 in with pedestal Closet doors must be louvered or otherwise ventilated and must contain a minimum of 60 sq in of open area equally distributed If the closet contains both a washer and a dryer doors must contain a minimum of 120 sq in of open area equally distributed NOTE WHEN THE EXHAUST DUCT IS LOCATED AT THE REAR OF THE DRYER MINIMUM CLEARANCE FROM THE WALL IS 5 5 IN BATHROOM OR BEDROOM INSTALLATION e The dryer MUST be vented to the outdoors See EXHAUST INFORMATION section 3 amp 4 e The installation must conform with local codes or in the absence of local codes with the NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE ANSI NFPA NO 70 MOBILE OR MANUFACTURED HOME INSTALLATION Installation must conform to the MANUFACTURED HOME CONSTRUCTION amp SAFETY STANDARD TITLE 24 PART 32 80 or when such standard is not applicable with AMERICAN NATIONAL STANDARD FOR MOBILE HOME ANSI NFPA NO 501B The dryer MUST be vented to the outdoors with the termina tion securely fastened

5. e Avoid resting the duct on sharp objects UL LISTED FLEXIBLE METAL FOIL TYPE TRANSITION DUCT e In special installations it may be necessary to connect the dryer to the house vent using a flexible metal foil type duct A UL listed flexible metal foil type duct may be used ONLY in installations where rigid metal or flexible metal semi rigid ducting cannot be used AND where a 4 diameter can be maintained throughout the entire length of the transition duct In Canada and the United States only the flexible metal foil type ducts that comply with the Outline for Clothes Dryer Transition Duct Subject 2158A shall be used Never install flexible metal duct in walls ceilings floors or other enclosed spaces Total length of flexible metal duct should not exceed 8 feet 2 4m Avoid resting the duct on sharp objects e For best drying performance 1 Slide one end of the duct over the clothes dryer outlet pipe 2 Secure the duct with a clamp 3 With the dryer in its permanent position extend the duct to its full length Allow 2 of duct to overlap the exhaust pipe Cut off and remove excess duct Keep the duct as straight as possible for maximum airflow 4 Secure the duct to the exhaust pipe with the other ELBOW HIGHL RECOMMENDED DO NOT SIT DRYER ON FLEXIBLE EXHAUST DO NOT USE EXCESSIVE EXHAUST LENGTH FLEXIBLE EXHAUST 3 AGAINST JS wa
6. located around the perimeter of the door outlining the gasket and the 2 machine See screws 8 on the hinge side 2 8 Machine Cos Screws AN 6 10 Large 5 Screws REMOVE DOOR ASSEMBLY 2 Open the door to approximately 90 degrees Remove the 4 screws starting from the bottom to the top Make sure the door is supported while removing the screws 2 8 Machine Screws 6 With the screws removed turn the door over and separate A the silver cover part of the door from the door frame and set A aside k l NOD A IJ RX Remove the ja Mi four screws 4 D j S i G 2 a gt S 7 VG AR tja In 3 Loosen the top screw as shown Unhook the door by lifting and pulling as shown by the arrows 7 Unlock the 4 tabs on the plastic cover and separate the plastic cover from the frame NOTE Disregard the DO NOT REMOVE label on the plastic cover Installation Instructions REMOVE HINGE REINSTALL HINGE ASSEMBLY IMPORTANT Note the location of the hinge left or right before 11 Place the hinge assembly in the opposite side of the door removing Align the hinge holes with the door holes 8 With the door frame part of the door laid down on a protected soft surface remove the hinge cover by removing the 2 tapping screws 8 that fasten it to the frame The hinge cover is located at the opposite side of the hinge assembly
7. 90 e One turn of 45 or less may be ignored e Two 45 turns should be treated as one 90 turn e Each turn over 45 should be treated as one 90 turn SEALING OF JOINTS e All joints should be tight to avoid leaks The male end of each section of duct must point away from the dryer e The duct shall not be assembled with screws or other fastening means that extend into the duct and catch lint e Duct joints can be made air and moisture tight by wrapping the overlapped joints with duct tape e Horizontal runs should slope down toward the outdoors 1 2 inch per foot INSULATION Duct work that runs through an unheated area or is near air conditioning should be insulated to reduce condensation and lint build up Installation Instructions EXHAUST CONNECTION A WARNING TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE OR PERSONAL INJURY This clothes dryer must be exhausted to the outdoors Use only 4 rigid metal ducting for the home exhaust duct Use only 4 rigid metal or UL listed flexible metal semi rigid or foil type duct to connect the dryer to the home exhaust duct It must be installed in accordance with the instructions found in Connecting The Dryer To House Vent on page 5 of this manual Do not terminate exhaust in a chimney a wall a ceiling gas vent crawl space attic under an enclosed floor or in any other concealed space of a building The accumulated lint could create a fire hazard Never terminate the exhaust into
