7. 10pr 0921 7 ASSEMBLY Insert two 8 x 34 screws straight into the dash as shown Tighten the screws Hint If the screw holes in the dash do not align with the vehicle place a finger in the steering wheel opening in the dash Pull the dash toward the back of the vehicle to reposition it Steering Column SIDE VIEW e Locate the wire connector inside the front end of the vehicle e While feeding the wire connector through the hole in the dash fit the tabs on the dash onto the front end of the vehicle BOTTOM VIEW e Turn the vehicle over e Remove the protective caps from the ends of the steering column and throw them away e Fit the straight end of the steering column down through the hole in the dash 8 R2510pr 0921 ASSEMBLY Lock Nut Steering Wheel End of Steering Column Wire with Connector Position the turn signal with the hollow side down Fit the wire with connector on the end of the steering wheel through the center of the turn signal Fit the turn signal onto the steering wheel Motor Harness Connector e Fit the end of the steering column through the hole in the steering linkage e Fit a lock nut onto the end of the steering column Tighten the lock nut with the assembly tool Plug the motor harness connector from the vehicle into the steering wheel connector Place the steering column cover over the lock nut and push to snap it into the steering li

20. nkage Turn the vehicle upright While carefully feeding the wire down into the dash fit the steering wheel onto the end of the steering column R2510pr 0921 ASSEMBLY End of Steering Column Fit the remaining lock nut onto the end of the steering column Tighten the lock nut with the assembly tool e First snap the front of the seat to the vehicle Ell 4 Steering Next snap the four tabs near the back of the seat into the Wheel Cap matching slots in the vehicle El 23 Snap the steering wheel cap into the center of the steering wheel oc ta VE 5 fo LOCKED UNLOCKE e Using a slotted screwdriver turn both lock fasteners 1 4 turn to the locked position ASSEMBLY VEHICLE CARE TNR Note Be sure the end of the handle is clean and free from debris before inserting Make sure the front wheels are not turned Locate the latch on the back end of the vehicle Press the tab and slide the latch to open Insert the handle as shown and release the tab IMPORTANT If the latch closes the handle is properly inserted If it does not remove the handle and repeat this step Check all screws lock nuts and their protective coverings regularly and tighten as required Check plastic parts on a regular basis for cracks or broken pieces During snowy or rainy weather the vehicle should be stored inside or under a protective cover
