3. ree pin type connector The head design provides exceptionally wide linear response for high gain before feedback in sound reinforcement applica tions The head subassembly is user replaceable As part of this assembly an effective shock absorber isolates transducer assembly from mechanical noises An internal Acoustifoam filter allows close talk ing without excessive P popping and prevenis din and magnetic particles from accumulating on the diaphragm Electro Voice o MARK IV compony Models PL6S PLOSS PLESSH Dynamic Cardioid Microphones Utilizing the Locking Feature To lock the switch in the on position first turn the switch on Next using a sharp object such as a nail file or small screwdriver slide the lock to a position behind the switch actuator see Figure 6 Using the Variable Low Frequency Response The PL68 PL68S and PL68SH low frequency responses vary with the distance from the sound source to the microphone as shown in the response curve Figure 2 Maximum bass response is produced in close up use with the microphone 14 inch from the sound source Figure 2A Minimum bass response is experienced at distances greater than 24 inches Figure 2C Useful special effects can be created by an imaginative application of the variable low frequency response 1 By working closer to the microphone the human voice will sound more robust although intelligibility may be adversely affected 2
