User Instructions EVC MH LED General intormation Unpacking Thank you for purchasing the EVC MH LED by Elation Professional Every EVC MH LED has been thoroughly testad and has been shipped in perfect operating condition Carefully check the shipping carton for damage that may have occured during shipping TF the carton appears ta be damaged careful inspect your fixture Tor any damage and be sure al equipment necessary to operate the unit has arved intact In the event damage has been found or parts are missing please contact our tol free customer support number for fu her instructions Please do not retur this urit t0 your dealer without contacting customer support frst Introduction The EVC MH LED by Elation Professionale is a unique twelve channel DMX controlable moving head video camera designed t spatight amast anything and project it onto a video wall or TV An ray of 48 total Coal and Warm White LED s alow you to customize to ferent skin ones and ambient ight in a room so that the EVC MH LED aivays projects the best images The EVC MH LED is compact and light weight so that itis very discreet and easy to transport and mount The EVC MH LED is ideal Tor use at corporate events wedding receptions nightclubs school dances or anywhere that you wish 12 put someone in the spotlight Customer Support Elton Professionals provides a toll free cus tomer support ine to provide help and to answer any question should you encounter2. Colt Test the Color Temperature Udin Test the Warm White intensity Cdn Test the Cool White intenshy Zon Test the Zoom Foc Test the Focus VER with this function you can display the version soft ware of the unit 1 Press the MENU button until VER is displayed press ENTER C MH LED System Menu 2 Tha software version will now be displayed Press MENU to exit RSET use this tunction to reset the unit 1 Press the MENU button until RSET is displayed press ENTER 2 Tha fixture wil now reset EVC MH LED Operation Universal DMX Control This function allows you to use a tons universa DMX 512 controller to contral the chases and patterns immer and strobe A DMX controller allows you to create unique programs tailored to your individual needs The EVG MH LED sa 12 channel DMX fiture See page 13 for detailed description af the DMX values and traits Te contral your fixture in DMX mode follow the set up procedures on pages 5 7 as well as the set up specifications that are includ ed with your DMX controller 3 Use the control s faders to control the various DMX fixture traits 44 This wil allow you to create your own programs 5 Follow the instruction on page 9 to set the DMX address 6 For iongar cable runs more than a 100 fest use a terminator on e last eeure 7 For heip operating in DMX mode consult the manual included with your DMX controler Master Slave Operation This

8. ear to operate normally or exhibits a marked change in periormance EVC MH LED Set Up Power Supply The Elation Professionals EVC MH LED contains a automatic voltage switch which wil auto sense the votage when itis Plugged into a power source With this switch there is no need to worry about the comect power voltage this urit can be plugged in anywhere DMX 512 DMX is short for Digital Multiolex This is a universal pro tocol used by most lighting and controller manufactures as a form of communication between inteligent fixtures and contrallers A DMX controler sends DMX data instructions trom the controller to the fac ture DMX data is sent as serial data that travels from fixture to fixture via the DATA IN and DATA OUT XLA terminals located on all DMX fixtures most controllers only have a DATA OUT terminal DMX Linking DMX is a language allowing all makes and models of diferent manufacturas to be Inked together and operate from a Single controll as long as all fixtures and the controller are DMX compliant To ensure proper DMX data transmission when using several DMX fixtures ty to use the shortest cable path possible The Order in which fixtures are connected in a DMX ine does not influence ihe DMX addressing For example a fiture assigned a DMX address of 1 may be placed anywhere in a DMX ine atthe beginning at the fend or anywhere in the middle Therefore the frst fixture controlled by the controler could be t

10. he ast fixture in the chain When a fixture 18 assigned a DMX address of T the DMX controller knows fo send DATA assigned to address 1 to that unit no matter whera t is located in the DMX chain Data Cable OMX Cable Requirements For DMX and Master Slave Operation The EVC MH LED is a 12 channel DMX unit The DMX address is set electronically using the controls on the front panel of he urit Your unit and your DMX controller require a approved DMX 512 110 Ohm Data cable for data input and data output Figure 1 We recommend eci Cable DMX cables If you are making your oum cables be sure to use standard 110 120 Ohm shielded cable This cable may be purchased at almost ali professional sound and lighting storas Your cables should be made wih a male and female XLA connector on ether end of tne cabia Also rile that DMX cable must be daisy chained and cannot be spit EVC MH LED Set Up Notice Be sure to folow figures two and three when making Your own cables Do not use the ground lug on the XLA connector Do not con ect the cable s shield conductor to the ground lug or allow the shield conductor to come in contact with the XLA s outer casing Grounding the shield could cause a short circuit and erratic behavior Special Note Line Termination When longer runs of eable are used you may need to use a terminator onthe ast unit to avoid erratic benavior terminators 110 120
