Dualit CONVEYOR TOASTER INSTRUCTION MANUAL UK 01 07 DUALIT CONVEYOR TOASTER Thank you for purchasing the Dualit Conveyor toaster This hardworking and versatile machine will provide fast and efficient toasting where large quantities of toast or toasted bread products are required IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS CAREFULLY READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE CONVEYOR TOASTER AND KEEP IN A SAFE PLACE FOR FUTURE REFERENCE e Before connecting check that the voltage on the rating label is the same as the main supply e Do not use outdoors To protect against electrical shock do not immerse any part of this product in water or other liquid or to be sprayed splashed with water Unplug from outlet or disconnect from supply when not in use Allow to cool before cleaning removing or installing parts Do not operate this appliance with a damaged cord or plug Do not allow cable to touch hot surfaces or to hang over the edge of a table or counter top When in use a fire may occur if the toaster is touching flammable material If using close to a wall ensure this is clad with a non combustible material and adheres to fire prevention regulations 1 e products must not be cooked heated in his machine e Use the correct replacement for detachable fuse Never use a plug without the fuse cover fitted Ensure replacement fuse is the same current value as the orig

4. rated below 3kW and are connected to a normal 13 Amp 3 pin socket If a moulded on plug is not fitted or has been removed the new plug should be fitted and wired accordingly Speed controller Top element control Bottom element control Connect the green yellow wire to the Power Saver Switch terminal and the plug marked E EARTH or by the earth symbol or coloured green or green yellow Connect the blue wire to the terminal marked N NEUTRAL or coloured black Connect the brown to the terminal marked 1 LIVE or colour red Heat Limit Reset 4 Unload chute Model shown DCT 2 C OPERATION 4 TOASTING BREAD 2 TOASTING OTHER PRODUCTS Dualit conveyor toasters are equipped with a rotary power saver switch Turn clockwise or counterclockwise to obtain the following positions FULL POWER When in this position your equipment is at full power and ready to use OFF ROTARY Two off positions are provided so that a single rotation to either direction will shut the unit off STANDBY The standby position reduces the power consumption by 75 Using this position during quiet times will save electricity and keep the toaster warm Use this whenever you know the toaster is not required for the next 10 minutes When needed turn the switch to FULL POWER Recovery time is about 30 seconds The Dualit conveyor toaster is a versatile machine which can be used for toa
5. sting or warming a variety of bread products Follow the instructions to achieve best toasting results 1 Turn the power saver to FULL POWER 2 Set the conveyor speed to 5 3 The toaster is equipped with separate top and bottom heat controls For toast we recommend setting them both to 10 HIGH 4 Allow a warm up time of 5 to 10 minutes to allow the toaster to reach optimum operating temperature 5 Place a sample product on the conveyor belt to test the settings You can use the conveyor toaster to warm or toast other bread type products such as buns muffins bagels and crossiants 1 Adjust the top and bottom element temperatures to required settings Ensure any food product used with the conveyor is less than 30mm thick If larger it may get stuck inside the toaster 2 For buns and bagels and other items requiring only one side toasting set the top element to 10 High and the bottom to 5 Medium Don t forget any change to the heat setting will take a few minutes to take effect 3 Adjust the speed as in previous section to vary the browning 4 Products flip over when coming off the conveyor belt 6 For best results set both heat regulators to full and set the speed to 5 7 Vary the speed of the belt to achieve lighter or darker toasting Any change to the speed setting will take a few seconds to take effect 3 NOTE Products will toast at different speeds Adjustments of the heat con
6. trols maybe required to achieve desired results CAUTION Burgers meat products must not be cooked heated in his machine C CLEANING PROCEDURES HEAT LIMIT SWITCH RESET TROUBLESHOOTING _ To clean the conveyor belt set the power saver in the FULL POWER position turn the top and bottom heat control to the OFF position For a lightly soiled conveyor belt turn conveyor speed control to the slowest setting 2 and wipe with a damp cloth For a heavily soiled conveyor belt turn conveyor speed control to slowest setting 2 and wipe with a dry light abrasive pad After the unit cools disconnect unit from power remove interior crumb tray and clean Slide crumb tray back into position after cleaning Wipe exterior surface of unit using a damp cloth once the machine has cooled Never allow a build up of crumbs in the tray as this may cause fire Clean on a daily basis Ensure the cooling fan is clear of dust and grease CLEAN WEEKLEY Your Dualit conveyor toaster is equipped with an automatically activated heat limit switch that interrupts the heater tube connections if the ambient temperature in the control box exceeds 190 F 88 C This switch can be reset manually by pushing the red button on the bottom of the toaster CAUTION DO NOT OPERATE UNIT WITHOUT CRUMB TRAY IN PLACE THE UNIT WILL OVERHEAT AND ACTIVATE THE HEAT LIMIT SWITCH TROUBLESHOOTING gt 1 My toast is une
