1. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Id F LAT NR350 Dakota Di ita LED Tail Lights for 1964 1966 Mustang MAN 650204 Kit Includes w a Eg E we H Installation AUN Remove both right and left tail light lenses as described below at the same time taking care to keep the left and right lenses and trim with the correct side of the vehicle Remove the four screws that hold the chrome tail light trim piece Remove the tail light trim piece and the lens Remove the light bulb from socket oe EEE Loosen the lens seal from the housing by gently pulling the seal away from the housing Now is a good time to clean the lenses and the tail light housings If the lenses are in poor condition a replacement set is recommended Make sure the housings and lenses are clean and dry DO NOT remove backing from tape yet Place the light diffuser onto the back of the lens Check for proper fitment of diffuser to inside of lens and note the places where the tape touches the lens MAN 650204 8 DO NOT remove the backing from the tape yet Place the LED assembly in the housing The wide black bar on the wire side of the LED assembly is marked to show which end of the assembly should be up Note the places where the tape touches the housing 9 Squeeze the primer tube to break the glass bulb and wet the brush end with primer Rub the primer on the lenses and the housings at the places where the tape will touch Treat both left a2. nd right housings and lenses at the same time before the primer tube dries out 10 Wait for 5 minutes for the primer to dry and cure 11 Remove the backing from the tape on the diffuser and place diffuser onto lens 12 Insert the bulb base from the LED assembly into the bulb socket Test the tail and brake lamps to make sure they work as expected before going on 13 Remove the backing from the tape on the LED assembly and insert assembly into the tail light housing keeping the assembly centered in housing Make sure the arrow is still pointing up Press firmly on the bracket to ensure good tape bonding 14 Place lens gasket onto housing and reinstall the tail light lens and trim piece Secure with the trim piece screws MAN 650204 15 Test the tail lights brake lights and turn signals If the turn signals do not flash you will need to upgrade your flasher If you are replacing only the rear turn signals you should be able to use a heavy duty electronic flasher from your local parts store If you are replacing both front and rear or do not have front bulbs you will need a no load flasher Dakota Digital part number LAT NLF SERVICE AND REPAIR DAKOTA DIGITAL offers complete service and repair of its product line In addition technical consultation is available to help you work through any questions or problems you may be having installing one of our units Should you ever need to send the unit back for repairs please package
