5. use weights block access io tire valve INSTRUCTIONS FOR DRILLING HOLES IN 8 OR 10 INCH WHEELS if not already drilled Some wheels have been center punched so that wheels can be drilled In such instances the template and center punching procedure is not required proceed with instruction 5 For those whose wheels are not center punched proceed as follows 1 Cut template along dotted lines 2 Place template inside wheel well keeping cross marks at 90 to the valve stem 3 Center the template and secure to the wheel with scotch tape See illustration A without template and B with template shown on attached template 4 Using a center punch and a hammer center punch at the marks of the template Now remove the template The cross marks are 4 1 2 apart and it is important not to drill holes any wider than 4 1 2 from center to center of the holes in order that the wheel weight may be fitted properly 5 You will need a 1 4 and a 1 2 steel drill bit which can be purchased from Sears or your local hardware store Using the 1 4 drill bit and using the guide notch made by the center punch drill through the wall of the wheel Then follow with the 1 2 drill bit The reason for using two progressive drill bits is to insure centering of the hole at 4 1 2 from center to center SEARS ROEBUCK amp CO HOFFMAN ESTATES IL 60179 PESOS PARA LAS RUEDAS PARA TODOS LOS TRACTORES SEARS DE CESPED Y PARA EL JARDIN DE SEARS
