3. rail brackets to your rack a Orient a rack bracket toward the back of the rack bracket with the flange facing away from the rack The flange should go around the outside of your rack post as shown in Figure 1 3 po NOTE Note If you are mounting the switch backward the rack bracket should be installed to the front of the rack b Secure the rack brackets with your screws through the back of the rack as shown in Figure 1 4 c Repeat on both sides of the rack I Figure 1 4 Secure Rack Brackets to Rack with Screws Lift the switch unit and align the rack bracket on the switch with the rack bracket on the rack before sliding the two sets of rack brackets together Carefully push the switch unit into the rack If the rack brackets do not slide easily the alignment may be off Pull the switch back toward you and realign the brackets Figure 1 5 Sliding the Switch Into the Rack 8 Secure the switch with your screws through the front of the rack as show in Figure 1 6 Figure 1 6 Secure switch with screws through the front of the rack Installing the Switch with Two People The following method of installation reguires two people to mount the chassis into the rack One person holds the switch while another person secures it to the rack 1 Separate the assembled rack brackets Mount bracket with screw holes to switch Orient flanges away from switch chassis Figure 1 7 Separate Assembled Brackets

15. before Mounting onto Switch 2 Attach the rack bracket that has the screw holes to the sides of the switch chassis with the screws provided When attaching the rack brackets to the switch the flanges of the brackets should be facing away from the switch chassis as shown in Figure 1 8 Figure 1 8 Fasten Rack Bracket to Switch Chassis 3 Assemblerack brackets to their counterparts before inserting the switch into the rack Insert the switch into the rack with the rack brackets attached You will have to tilt the switch unit to one side to avoid hitting the sides of the rack with the brackets as the pass around the back posts Return the switch unit to a horizontal position once the switch is inside the rack The rear rack brackets flanges should wrap around the outside of the back rack posts Have one person hold the switch while another person secures the switch to the rack Attach the back rack brackets to the back of the posts with screws that fit your rack Attach the front rail brackets to the front of the rack posts with screws that fit your rack as shown in Figure 1 9 Configure Basic Connectivity Loxgjal a 8 Attach an RJ 45 console cable a Connect the cable from the InfiniBand chassis serial console to your terminal or management workstation use the cable kit that is provided in the package For detailed information on how to connect the serial console cable please see the documentation included with the serial

24. for sufficient clearance Determine the desired method of installation e Installing the Switch with One Person on page 2 e Installing the Switch with Two People on page 5 Installing the Switch with One Person The following method of installation is easier with two people but can be accomplished with one person It can be difficult to align the switch correctly along the rack rails with only one person 1 Take one set of rack brackets and separate them Each side arrives assembled to its counterpart but should be separated before attaching to the switch when using this method of installation Figure 1 1 Assembled Rack Brackets Attach the rack bracket that has screw holes to the side of the chassis with the flange facing away from the switch as shown in Figure 1 2 The standard method is to face the flange toward the front of the chassis However you can also mount the flange toward the back if you want to mount the switch backward in the chassis service side forward flange Figure 1 2 Attaching One Rail to Switch Chassis Repeat Step 1 and Step 2 on the opposite side of the switch chassis The two counterparts to these sliding rails without screw holes should still be unattached Check your rack for clearance for the switch The switch can be installed either directly on top of another device using the rubber feet which are provided or be suspended from the rack brackets Attach the remaining 2

34. t of Topspin 2 Prices Taxes All prices are exclusive of shipping insurance and installation charges all of which are Customer s sole responsibility All prices are exclusive of all sales use excise value added withholding and other taxes and all customs duties and tariffs now or hereafter claimed or imposed by any governmental authority upon the sale of Products Any such charges will be added to the XIV price or subseguently invoiced to the Customer In the event Topspin is reguired to pay any such tax duty or charge Customer will promptly reimburse Topspin Payment Financing Topspin will determine Customer s credit terms on a per order basis and such terms are subject to a credit review and approval by Topspin in its sole discretion The amount of credit may be changed or credit withdrawn by Topspin at anytime in its sole discretion All payments shall be made in U S Dollars net thirty 30 days from the date of invoice unless otherwise stated by Topspin in writing Any amounts not paid when due will accrue interest at the rate of 1 1 2 per month or the maximum amount allowed by law if lower In the event that any payment is more than thirty 30 days late Topspin shall have the right to suspend performance until all payments are made current Customer shall pay for all costs including reasonable attorneys fees incurred by Topspin in connection with the collection of late payments Each accepted purchase order is a separate ind
