POWER PLUG UPPER HOUSING 16 SPEED REGULATOR 17 SPEED REGULATING 59 POWER CORD amp LEFT AUGER 28A FIGURE B OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS A Read the ENTIRE IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION section at the beginning of this manual including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of this Mortar Mixer Warning Before each use check the operation of GFCI plug a Plug GFCI into power outlet Indicator should turn on b Press test button Indicator should turn off c 8 Press reset button again for use Plug indicator light must be illuminated Do not use tool if above test fails KNOB 4 Place a mixing drum not included in the work area Make sure the mixing drum is located on a flat level ground surface Pour the material to be mixed i e large batches of grout concrete or mortar in the mixing drum IMPORTANT Refer to the manufac turer s instructions of the material for proper mixing instructions Make sure the Power Switch 1 of the Mortar Mixer is in its OFF position Then plug the tools GFCI Power Cord Plug 6 into the nearest 110 volt grounded electrical outlet See Figure B NOTE Route the Power Cord 6 along a safe route to reach the mix ing drum without creating a tripping hazard or exposing the Power Cord to possible damage The Power Cord must reach the mixing drum with enough extra length to allow free movement while
5. maintain the Brushes Remove the Carbon Brush Cover 8 on each side of the Motor Housing Remove the Carbon Brushes 9 from the Housing Keep track of which orientation the old Carbon Brushes were in to prevent need less wear if they will be rein stalled Page 9 c If either Carbon Brush 9 is worn down by more than 1 2 replace both Carbon Brushes d To clean old Carbon Brushes 9 before reusing them rub the contact areas with a pencil eraser e Reinsert the old Carbon Brushes 9 in the same orientation to reduce wear f When installing the Carbon Brushes 9 make sure the carbon portions of the Brushes contact the Motor Arma ture and that the Springs face away from the Motor Also make sure the Springs operate freely g Replace the Brush Covers 8 Do not overtighten Note New Carbon Brushes 9 tend to spark when first used until they wear and conform to the Motor s Armature See Assy Diagram 3 AFTER USE clean external surfaces of the tool with clean cloth Do not use solvents Do not immerse the Motor Housing in liquid 4 WARNING If the Power Cord 6 of this Mortar Mixer is damaged it must be replaced only by a qualified ser vice technician PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY THE MANUFACTURER AND OR DISTRIBUTOR HAS PROVIDED THE PARTS LIST AND ASSEMBLY DIAGRAM IN THIS MANUAL AS A REFERENCE TOOL ONLY NEITHER THE MANUFACTURER OR DISTRIBUTOR MAKES ANY REPRESENTATION
