World Wide Web World Wide Web www chauvetlighting com www chauvetlighting co uk Hurricane M 1300 User Manual 11 August 2011 5 APPENDIX General Maintenance To maintain optimum performance and minimize wear fixtures should be cleaned frequently Usage and environment are contributing factors in determining frequency As a general rule fixtures should be cleaned at least twice a month Dust build up reduces light output performance and can cause overheating This can lead to reduced lamp life and increased mechanical wear Be sure to power off fixture before conducting maintenance Unplug fixture from power Use a vacuum or air compressor and a soft brush to remove dust collected on external vents and internal components Clean all glass when the fixture is cold with a mild solution of glass cleaner or Isopropyl Alcohol and a soft lint free cotton cloth or lens tissue Apply solution to the cloth or tissue and drag dirt and grime to the outside of the lens Gently polish optical surfaces until they are free of haze and lint The cleaning of internal and external optical lenses and or mirrors must be carried out periodically to optimize light output Cleaning frequency depends on the environment in which the fixture operates damp smoky or particularly dirty surrounding can cause greater accumulation of dirt on the unit s optics Clean with soft cloth using normal glass cleaning fluid Always dry the parts carefully Clean the external op
3. 1300 User Manual 8 August 2011 4 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Manual Remote Operation FC M Optional 1 Plug in the fog machine to power and turn the power switch to the fixture on 2 Plug in the wired manual remote to the Manual Controller socket on the rear of the fog machine 3 Press the single button located on the remote to trigger the fog output The button is momentary which means that the fog machine will only output while the button is pressed Once the button is released the fog will stop outputting Timer Remote Operation FC T Standard This mode will allow you to control the fogger manually set the fog machine to run continuously or to set the fog machine to run off bursts with adjustable interval and duration settings 1 Plug in the fog machine to power and turn the power switch to the fixture on 2 Plug in the timer remote to the Manual Controller socket on the rear of the fog machine 3 Press the TIMER ON OFF button on the timer remote The LED above the button should light indicating activation of function 4 You may now set the INTERVAL 8 DURATION adjustment knobs to the desired position The INTERVAL is the time between bursts of fog 4 The DURATION is the time the fog machine will run during the burst Interval Duration Adiustment Adjustment Timer LED Manual Indicator Momentary LED Manual Power LED Manual control Momentary Timer Latching cuca CRIS MANDA Button Continuous Latch

7. heck that the source voltage matches the fixture s requirement Check the fixture or device carefully to make sure that if a voltage selection switch exists that it is set to the correct line voltage you will use Fuse Replacement A Unplug the IEC power cable before replacing the fuse Always replace with same type of fuse This product has a replaceable fuse In the event that the fuse needs to be replaced follow the instructions provided below Using a flat head screwdriver remove the fuseholder from the IEC housing Remove the bad fuse from the fuseholder Insert the new fuse into the fuseholder Install the fuseholder in the IEC housing IN The fuse is located inside this compartment Remove using a flat head screwdriver Hurricane M 1300 User Manual 7A August 2011 Mounting Orientation This fixture should only be mounted used on a flat surface This fixture may not be tilted Rigging It is important never to obstruct the vents pathways Mount the fixture using a suitable C or O type clamp e When selecting installation location take into consideration the fluid reservoir access and routine maintenance e Safety cables must always be used utilizing the provided safety eye bolt e Never mount in places where the fixture will be exposed to rain high humidity extreme temperature changes or restricted ventilation Hanging Clamp Note Clamp is sold separately Hurricane M
