MA0707 EA CASIO Operation Guide 3118 About This Manual e Depending on the model of your watch display text appears either as dark figures on a light background or light figures on a dark background All sample displays in this manual are shown using dark figures on a light background Button operations are indicated using the letters shown in the illustration e Each section of this manual provides you with the information you need to perform operations in each mode Further details and technical information can be found in the Reference section General Guide e Press to change from mode to mode World Time Mode Alarm Mode Press HUT Timekeeping Mode FIL I 00 oF Timekeeping Use the Timekeeping Mode to set and view the current time and date Pressing in the Timekeeping Mode will toggle between the Day of the Week screen and the Date screen Day of the Week Screen Date Screen Day of week Day Month Day Press am PM indicator Hour Minutes Seconds Read this before you set the time and date The times displayed in the Timekeeping Mode and World Time Mode are linked Because of this make sure you select a city code for your Home City the city where you normally use the watch before you set the time and date e To view the current Home City code setting press while in the Timekeeping Mode For full information on city codes see
3. able e If the current time shown for a city is wrong check your Timekeeping Mode time and Home City code settings and make the necessary changes Current time in the zone of the selected city code To toggle a city code time between Standard Time and Daylight Saving Time 1 In the World Time Mode use and to display the city code time zone whose Standard Time Daylight Saving Time setting you want to change 2 Hold down for about one second to toggle between Daylight Saving Time DST indicator displayed and Standard Time DST indicator not displayed e The DST indicator is on the display whenever you display a city code for which Daylight Saving Time is turned on e Note that the DST Standard Time setting affects only the currently displayed city code Other city codes are not affected e In the World Time Mode you can switch the city code you currently have selected as your Timekeeping Mode Home City between Standard Time and DST The setting you select in the World Time Mode also will be applied in the Timekeeping Mode DST indicator Alarms You can set five independent Daily Alarms When an alarm is turned on the alarm tone sounds when the alarm time is reached You can turn on an Hourly Time Signal that causes the watch to beep twice every hour on the hour e There are six screens in the Alarm Mode Five are for alarms indicated by numbers from Fi through FAL_ and one i
4. can change to another timer 2 Press to start the countdown timer e When the end of the countdown is reached and auto repeat is turned off the alarm sounds for 10 seconds or until you stop it by pressing any button The countdown time is reset automatically to its starting value after the alarm stops e When auto repeat is turned on the countdown will restart automatically without pausing when it reaches zero The alarm sounds to signal when the countdown reaches zero e The countdown timer measurement operation continues even if you exit the Countdown Timer Mode e Press while a countdown operation is in progress to pause it Press again to resume the countdown e To stop a countdown operation completely first pause it by pressing and then press 8 This returns the countdown time to its starting value To set up a countdown timer 1 Press while in the Countdown Timer Mode to select the timer whose time you want to change e Pressing does not change the timer selection if a countdown timer operation is currently in progress or is paused You must stop the ongoing countdown operation before you can change to another timer 2 While the countdown start time is on the display hold down until the hour setting of the countdown start time starts to flash which indicates the setting screen 3 Press to move the flashing in the sequence shown below to select other settings m Ho
