1. 3 Release collar to engage projections OPERATION CLUTCHES Continued VERSA CLUTCH This clutch is very similar in action to the positive clutch units except with the added feature of adjustable engagement of the clutch jaws This enables a much greater range of fastener sizes to be driven without the cone of ewes or twist off 3 To Adjust The Clutch E BECHET 1 Pull collar CAT in Figure at right forward until collar lugs come RE a of engagement with holes 7 Clutch housing a 2 Rotate collar and adustable stop together in the desired direction to increase or decreasethe amount of eaten engagement indicator line on locator collar do not represent any preset value The depth of engagement is ap proximately 004 between holes or 008 from number to number 3 Test drive a screw into a piece of l Scrap to check setting 4 If necessary deit to obtain desired setting ge NR eg DEPTH SENSITIVE MODELS These units permit quick and easy adjustment for seating fas teners uniformly to the proper depth without shearing or strip ping Bits are inserted into the renee noer in the locator by pushing o on the sia To adjust the Depth Sensitive Mechanism 1 Pull collar CAT in figure at right forward until collar lugs come out of engagement with holes in clutch housing 2 Rotate collar in proper direction until tip of bit or socket is protruding slightly in front of l
