1. For BFH3410 and BFH3420 only 1 The nightlight will automatically light when the room becomes dark When the room becomes light the nightlight will automatically turn off 2 To turn the nightlight off press the button on the control panel TIP The nightlight will not automatically operate until the button is pressed again MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS During Season Care Before cleaning make sure the unit is unplugged 1 Allow the heater to cool before cleaning 2 Carefully wipe the unit with a soft damp cloth TIP Over time dust may accumulate on the front grills This can be removed by wiping the unit with a damp cloth Always unplug unit and allow to cool prior to cleaning TROUBLESHOOTING If your heater fails to operate Y Make sure the electrical outlet or circuit breaker is working Y Check for obstructions If you find an obstruction turn the heater OFF and follow the Reset Instructions in the manual Carefully remove the obstruction Y The thermostat might be set too low Adjust the thermostat until the heater restarts Please DO NOT attempt to open or repair the heater Please see the Warranty for Service Instructions Please be cautious near the heating elements After Season Care Store heater in a cool dry location Bionaire recommends storing the unit in its original or appropriately sized box HEATER SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS l Do NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or me2. 10 minutes for the unit to cool down 2 After the 10 minutes plug the unit in again and operate normally PRE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Carefully unpack your heater from the box it Is recom mended to save the box for off season storage Heat Exhaust control OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS anel 1 Place the unit on a firm level m surface Plug in the heater lt H to a 120V power source 2 To start the unit press the POWER button or turn the mode knob located on the amp lt TI fake control panel The POWER Oscillation light will remain lit while the ae heater is in operation Figure 1 BFH3420 Shown FOR HEATING OPERATION On first use the heater will operate in fan mode After initial use the heater will operate on the last programmed setting Figure 2 Higi Fan i i Nightlight Light Oscillation Button Button BFH3405 BFH3410 BFH3420 1 By pressing the MODE button or turning the MODE knob for BFH3405 select FAN LOW HIGH or AUTO LOW for 750 Watts and HIGH for 1500 Watts THERMOSTAT INSTRUCTIONS This function allows you to set the heater to your desired comfort level The heater will maintain the desired room temperature For BFH3405 1 Set the THERMOSTAT knob to the highest setting Clockwise as far as it will turn When the desired room temperature level is reached lower the thermostat setting by turning the THERMOSTAT knob counter clockwise until it clicks The heater

7. will now stop operating The thermostat will now automatically maintain the pre set temperature level by turning the heater on and off The thermostat is now set For BFH3410 and BFH3420 1 To change the heater settings press the MODE button Each time you press the MODE button tt will scroll to the settings FAN LOW HIGH or AUTO Select the AUTO mode Set the heater to the desired room temperature by pressing the or buttons The thermostat Is now set NO LJ WW N Note that the degree range is from 60 F 85 F 15 C 29 C if you scroll past 85 F 29 C the display will automatically loop to 60 F 15 C NOTE When the room temperature goes below the set temperature the heater will automatically turn off The fan will continue to run cooling the heater for 30 seconds The unit will now operate when the room temperature falls below the preset temperature TIP It is normal for the heater to cycle ON and OFF as it maintains the present temperature To prevent the unit from cycling raise the thermostat setting W OSCILLATION For model BFH3420 only For maximum heat distribution use the oscillation function 1 Press the Oscillation button on the control panel to begin 90 oscillation 2 To stop the heater from oscillating press the Oscillation button a second time the unit will stop in that direction To resume oscillation press the Oscillation button again a NIGHTLIGHT
