Technical Bulletin Bulletin No TCH 006 005 Effective Date 2 19 2014 Cancels N A Page 1 of 2 Subject BENDIX DS 1 AND DS 2 DOUBLE CHECK VALVE AND STOPLIGHT SWITCHES BECOME OBSOLETE Effective immediately the Bendix DS 1 and DS 2 double check valve and stoplight switches are obsolete and can no longer be ordered from Bendix To service these valves two separate valves a double check valve and a separate stoplight switch can be installed together to achieve the same functionality To facilitate the changeover Bendix is providing changeover kits which include the valves and necessary couplings The changeover tables below and on the following page identifies the changeover kit piece numbers Note that the functionality of the two valves mounted together is the same however the overall size of the two components mounted together is not Be sure to review the dimensions of the assembly and verify the installation before attempting the valve replacement Bendix DS 1 Double Check Valve amp Changeover B Stoplight Switch Kit Piece No NPT 228050 228050N K108140 228165N K108141 228520 228520N K108140 1 2 The Bendix DS 1 double check valve and stoplight switch contains port D a 1 4 female pipe thread This port is not dio pena included on the Bendix DC 4 check valve replacement An additional coupling may be needed to facilitate this changeover Changeover Kit Terminal D Terminal 8 322.
