Technical Bulletin Bulletin No PRO 03 06 Effective Date 8 9 76 Page 1 of 2 Subject QR 1 Valve Ref Attached sketches Over the years we have received complaints of noise in the QR 1 valve when it is exhausting Engineering has come up with a good fix which field testing has proven eliminates the noise The fix is a small piece of polyurethane foam material cut in the shape of a cross and placed on top of the diaphragm The insert is 292362 The part number of a QR 1 valve with the insert is piece 289042 Piece 289042 has 3 8 supply port and 4 delivery ports This valve 289042 has 1 psi supply and delivery differential The insert can be used in any QR 1 valve to eliminate the noise The insert 292362 Is placed in the center of the diaphragm on the top side or supply side of the diaphragm For reference see attached sketches INSERT FOR QUICK RELEASE VALVE m 25 56 1 00 SQ _ 4 CORNERS MAY ROUNDED ATTACHMENT TO PRODUCT BULLETIN 03 6 DATED 8 9 76
