Technical Bulletin Bulletin No PRO 01 23 Effective Date 10 30 82 Cancels NA Page 1 of 1 Subject FORD OFFSET MOUNT AND CATERPILLAR 3406 COMPRESSORS Traditionally Bendix remanufactured compressors have been supplied with the necessary mounting gaskets o rings etc Two exceptions to this general practice currently exist and are noted below We are currently working to correct this situation and will include these components with the basic compressors in the near future In the interim these parts must be obtained separately from the appropriate O E parts outlet Please record the O E part numbers on the catalog pages shown 1 The base gasket for Ford offset mount compressors is not supplied The Ford part number for this gasket is D4TZ 2B885 A The remanufactured basic compressors affected are PC NO COMPRESSOR MODEL CATALOG PAGE 286558 TuFlo 501 O1 E 12 286561 TuFlo 501 O1 E 12 286562 TuFlo 501 O1 E 12 2 The crankshaft o ring on flange mounted compressors for the Cat 3406 engine is not supplied The Cat part number for this o ring is 5H2767 The remanufactured basic compressors affected are PC NO COMPRESSOR MODEL CATALOG PAGE 285131 TuFlo 500 01 D 33 286546 TuFlo 501 O1 E 13 288710 TuFlo 600 O1 F 17 289349 TuFlo 700 01 K 11
