E _ YOUR UPGRADE SOLUTION MICROSTORAGE DAS F8A 2U ULTRA DMA RAID SUBSYSTEM The MicroStorage DAS F8A is a superior data storage option for mission critical and high performance applications For mis sion critical applications requiring aggressive performance total reliability and system scalability the DAS F8A is the obvi ous solution The DAS F8A is equipped with FC AL to Ultra DMA RAID con trollers to offer fault tolerant data protection and 100 trans parency to the host operating system A fully featured data pro tection subsystem supporting RAID levels O 1 0 1 3 and 5 it is the ideal storage solution for applications requiring high data throughput continuous availability and flexibility in configura tion System reliability is ensured by an environmental monitoring unit which tracks the enclosure temperature as well as individu al disk temperatures Hot swappable redundant power supplies are continuously monitored and high quality advanced cooling modules provide an optimal environment for high RPM drives If any irregularity in these systems occurs the monitoring unit alerts the administrator with an audible alarm by fax and pager The DAS F8A comes with 8 drive trays accommodating 3 5 Ultra DMA drives while the SCA II single connector architecture enables true hot swap capability With a menu driven front panel display a terminal serial port real time drive status indicators and a Java based GU2.
