46. ntenance IMPORTANT Descaling the steam generator To ensure a long life for your steam generator it is very important that you perform the descaling procedure when the EASY DE CALC light starts to flash The EASY DE CALC light starts flashing after approx one month or 10 ironing sessions to indicate that the steam generator needs to be descaled To descale the steam generator perform the steps below Never remove the EASY DE CALC knob when the steam generator is hot Press the on off button to switch off the steam generator and remove the plug from the wall socket Place the steam generator on a stable table with the EASY DE CALC knob sticking out beyond the edge of the table or take the steam generator to a sink Hold a cup under the EASY DE CALC knob Turn the EASY DE CALC knob anti clockwise and let the water with scale particles flow into the cup When no more water comes out of the steam generator reinsert the EASY DE CALC knob Turn the knob clockwise to fasten it and put the plug back into the socket again You can now use the steam generator again 10 ENGLISH Cleaning the soleplate Clean the soleplate regularly to remove stains from the soleplate maintain a good gliding of your soleplate it is recommended to clean it regularly once every 2 months You can do that by heating up the iron and moving the soleplate over a moist cloth Descaling the soleplate if you do not descale your steam generator r
