For this reason the machine might display the EMPTY COFFEE GROUNDS DRAWER message after brewing just a few coffees GENERAL MACHINE CLEANING The cleaning procedure described below must be carried out at least once a week Note If water remains in the tank for several days do not use it WARNING Never immerse the machine in water Take out the water tank and wash it with fresh water Turn off the machine and unplug it Remove the grill and wash it thoroughly Remove the dispensing spout and wash it with water Clean the pre ground coffee compartment with a brush or a dry cloth Remove the support under the grill Wash it taking care of the seal area Reinstall the support only after washing the inside ofthe water recovery tray Take out the water recovery tray Wash the water recovery tray After drying it reassemble and reinsert it in the machine Wash the hot water dispensing spout under running water ceanna BREW GROUP CLEANING Wash the brew group at least once a week Before removing the group remove the used grounds drawer as shown in fig 2 on page 36 Wash the brew group with lukewarm water Lubricate the Brew Group every 30 days or after approximately 500 brewing cycles The grease to lubricate the Brew Group can be purchased at your local dealer at the Philips on line shop at http shop philips com or at authorised service centres WARNING Do not wash the brew group with
