2. may cause hearing damage It is best to avoid extreme volume levels when using headphones especially for extended periods Controlling the volume You can raise or lower the volume of the speakers or a connected head phone by turning the knob on the front of the RIGHT speaker Figure 7 Turn it right to raise and left to lower the volume Figure 7 RIGHT volume knob 9 Volume control On your computer or an optional sound source set the volume at about two thirds the maximum volume Then use the knob on the RIGHT speaker to adjust the volume as you listen 10 Problem No sound No sound from one speaker Sound is distorted or you hear static Background noise when no source is playing Troubleshooting What you can do Make sure the sound source is plugged in and turned on it is not on mute and the volume is turned up Make sure headphones are not plugged into the RIGHT speaker Be sure the power pack Is securely plugged into the RIGHT speaker and into the AC mains outlet Make sure the speakers are connected properly and all plugrs are inserted firmly Check the sound source If itis mono has one channel only you need a mono to stereo adapter to send the sound to both speakers To request an adapter contact Bose Customer Service Refer to the address sheet included in the carton Decrease the volume of the sound source affected and increase the volume on the speakers When using any
