Mobile iPhone Cradle carcomm CMIC 103 Apple iPhone 3G Apple iPhone 3GS Apple iPod Touch 2G ee Introduction This installation manual has been prepared to provide the basic information needed to install this product This manual is not intended to be definitive because there are different models and types of vehicles which will require different installation work The information given is for general guidance only The terms of warranty demand that this mobile cradle is installed by an experienced installer An end user should never attempt to install this mobile cradle without professional assistance as the installation requires special tools and knowledge Note Thoroughly read the manual before beginning the installation procedure WARNINGS 1 Ensure that the vehicle s battery is disconnected before you start the installation procedure and that it remains disconnected during the procedure 2 Do not smoke or use open flames when working near the vehicle s fuel system Compatible devices 3 Ensure that the vehicle s electrical cables hydraulic lines fuel lines and safety le iPh equipment are not damaged during the installation SNe E Apple iPhone 3GS Apple iPod Touch 2G 4 Ensure that normal control and operation of the vehicle is not obstructed by the installation particularly the brakes and steering Ensure that airbag operation is not obstructed 5 Electronic and other sophisticated systems for

3. fairly simple Connect the 8 pin mini DIN Audio out cable to the cradle cable Connect the Audio out to your car stereo in car DVD system when available Plug in the cigarette lighter plug If you choose to hard wire the cradle into the car you can use the supplied power cable with in line fuse If you use this option you have to cut off the cigarette lighter plug and instead connect the supplied power cable with fuse Connect the RED cable to the 12V or 24V power of the vehicle Connect the BLACK cable to the vehicle ground Connect the power cable to the power of the car that is controlled by the ignition key so that the iPhone cannot accidentally drain the car battery Audio Out Right amp Left 12V 24V Cigarette Lighter Plug Fuse 12V 24V ES Ground Attention Video out is not supported by the CMIC 103 The cradle is designed to minimize scratches and other surface damage on the iPhone For extra protection a protection skin is included with the Carcomm iPhone cradle The Cvality Line www carcomm nl i
