16. g window appears you have the option of changing the language used in menus and dialogs Elo TouchSystems 1541 User Guide 11 Select the Language tab The window shown below will appear Select the desired language in the drop down list labeled Language used in menus and dialogs Elo TouchSystems 1541 User Guide 12 Time zone selection When the following window appears you may change the time zone date and or time of the touchcomputer After making any changes click Next to finish Windows Setup will complete the initialization of the touchcomputer Elo TouchSystems 1541 User Guide 13 Test Devices The touchcomputer can be pre installed with several different hardware options To test an optional device that is installed on the touchcomputer follow the instructions below NOTE Testing icons are located on the desktop Testing of a particular device can only be done after the device is properly installed Testing the Touchscreen The touchscreen is pre calibrated for accurate touch response Calibration If for any reason the touchscreen needs to be re calibrated double click the Touchscreen Test icon The window shown below will open elo Elo Touchscreen Properties General Mode Sound Properties 1 About Video alignment enables the computer to convert touchscreen coordinates into image coordinates Align the touchscreen whenever you Initially install the touchscreen driver

18. lity to enable recov ery and recycling Elo TouchSystems 15A1 User Guide 28 Servicing the Hard Disk Drive When removing or installing a hard disk drive first turn the touchcomputer off and remove the power supply connection To Install Hard Disk Drive 1 Take off the back cover insert and remove the four screws connecting the stand to the chassis Once these screws are removed the stand will come off Then remove the screws on the chassis If you have an existing hard drive please pull on the metal handle After pulling on this handle the hard drive will easily slide out 2 Grasp the handle of the new hard drive and slide the hard drive into the slot with the manufacturer s label faced down and the connector facing the top of the touchcomputer Slide the hard drive to the right until it stops Then push the hard drive up into the SATA connector and make sure that it locks into place 3 Secure the Hard Drive to the touchcomputer using 2 screws Reinstall the screws to close the chassis Elo TouchSystems 1541 User Guide 29 4 Reinstall the stand by using 4 screws and replace the back cover insert Recovering the Operating System If for any reason the touchcomputer s operating system and software needs to be recovered insert the included recovery disk into an external DVD ROM drive or internal DVD drive if available and reboot the touchcomputer Follow the on screen instructions to complete recov
19. ms 1541 User Guide 27 Care and Handling of Your Touchcomputer H The following tips will help keep your Elo touchcomputer functioning at the optimal level To avoid risk of electric shock do not disassemble the power adapter or display unit cabinet The unit is not user serviceable Remember to unplug the display unit from the power outlet before cleaning Do not use alcohol methyl ethyl or isopropyl or any strong dissolvent Do not use thinner or benzene abrasive cleaners or compressed air To clean the display unit cabinet use a cloth lightly dampened with a mild deter gent Avoid getting liquids inside your touchcomputer If liquid does get inside have a qualified service technician check it before you power it on again Do not wipe the screen with a cloth or sponge that could scratch the surface To clean the touchscreen use window or glass cleaner Put the cleaner on the rag and wipe the touchscreen Never apply the cleaner directly on the touchscreen 02 A Warning This product consists of devices that may contain mercury which must be recycled or disposed of in accordance with local state or federal laws Within this system the backlight lamps in the monitor display contain mercury Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment WEEE Directive In the European Union this label indicates that this product should not be disposed of with household waste It should be deposited at an appropriate faci
