Trim o Gain La finalidad del control de recorte es optimizar la cantidad de se al buena con relaci n a cualquier ruido asociado con los mezcladores electr nicos Un buen preamplificador de micr fono con recorte tambi n tendr un LED PEAK o CLIP Para ajustar un nivel adecuado en el micr fono coloque el C01U delante de la fuente de sonido y suba lentamente el control de recorte del micr fono hasta que el LED PEAK se ilumine A continuaci n baje el control de recorte hasta que el LED deje de iluminarse En la mayor a de los mezcladores el ajuste ideal es que el control de recorte est al nivel m s alto posible sin que se ilumine el LED PEAK Chasquido de P El chasquido de P es este molesto chasquido que se obtiene cuando el diafragma del micr fono recibe un golpe de aire de un vocalista que pronuncia palabras que contiene la letra P Existen algunas manera de solucionar este problema incluyendo la utilizaci n de un filtro externo Algunos famosos ingenieros utilizan una media de nil n sobre un colgador doblado lo cual funciona muy bien Tambi n puede colo carse el micr fono ligeramente fuera de eje ligeramente desviado con relaci n al vocalista Con ello normalmente puede solucionarse el problema sin utilizar un filtro externo Instalar el CO1U en un pie El CO1U puede instalarse en un pie de micr fono est ndar utilizando el adaptador para pivote giratorio incluido Si utiliza un pie de micr fono de 5 8 de los

High Pass filter for attenu ating the bottom end freguencies The Low Cut filter allows you to remove the lower freguencies that you sometimes just don t want to pick up For example when you are miking a high hat you only want to capture the freguencies that the hi hat is pro ducing Therefore by using the Low Cut filter you can reduce the amount of pick up from the low toms and bass drum that may leak into the hi hat mic You can use the same technigue on other instruments like acoustic guitar violin piano and even on vocals In live sound applications the Low Cut filter is especially useful for removing stage rumble The MikMaster software provides a variable Low Cut filter that allows you to adjust the exact freguency at which the low freguencies begin to roll off or attenuate PHASE Switch For a variety of miking and mixing technigues it may be necessary to invert the sig nal phase from the source you have plugged into your CO1U and MikMaster software When the PHASE switch is pressed in the yellow LED will light showing that the input signal is now out of phase Operating the CO1U Powering the CO1U The CO1U is a condenser microphone and like all condenser microphones it has internal electronics that reguire an active power supply Traditional studio condensers are almost always powered by a Phantom Power supply which is usually derived from the mixing console The CO1U receives its power from the USB bus Simply connect
