6. d Sportster SP C1 User Guide 5 SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO Installation in a Vehicle Mounting the Antenna 1 Temporarily plug the antenna into the 4 Temporarily plug the Car Power Adapter into the ANT connector on the back of the cradle cigarette lighter until it is firmly seated 5 Make sure the lock lever on the back of the cradle is in the UNLOCK position Slide the SP R1 Receiver all the way into the cradle so that the connector at the bottom of the unit makes proper contact in the cradle Move the lock lever to the LOCK position Press and hold the POWER button to turn the SP R1 Receiver on 6 If your SP R1 Receiver has been properly connected and the antenna is receiving the SIRIUS signal you will hear audio If you do not hear audio and the display shows Acquiring Signal reposition the antenna until the message goes away and you hear 2 Find a location on a metal surface of your audio See Antenna Signal on page 21 of the SP R1 vehicle at least 12 x 12 and at least 6 Receiver manual to use the ANTENNA SIGNAL from a window screen to aim the antenna 3 The antenna s powerful magnet will secure Make sure the vehicle is not in garage or somewhere it to the metal surface Before routing the the satellite signal could be blocked antenna cable confirm that the antenna is Best reception is achieved with the antenna mounted mounted in a good location on the roof or the trunk for convertibles
