10. assigned room device and or an audio output device is programmed to have access to certain inputs within a matrix switching system Some input sources may be in the same room while others may be located elsewhere NOTE Within the matrix system inputs outputs rooms presets etc can be named as to their location function etc These names are not seen from the MKP keypad The display shows selected input or preset numbers as well as certain error and status codes There can also be up to 32 global presets which can affect the entire matrix switching system Using the example in Figure 1 1 the video conference room has output devices projector A and TV B Input Video Conference VR E devices include a document camera a VCR a DVD player 7 9 and a idm video conferencing camera Room presets allow these inputs to be Training displayed in this room Other inputs could be from other places Room Other Examples Although the matrix system may have up to 128 inputs and 128 outputs a conference room may have three input devices and two output devices a training room may have four input devices and one output device etc Typically each output device will have an MKP keypad assigned to it In the example in Figure 1 1 the presentation room top center has one output device projector C and four input devices a video camera 13 a laptop computer 12 and two PCs 11 amp 14 The Media Room
