4. ation the date and time need to be reset Getting started Deregister handsets If you want to replace a handset or reassign the designated handset number of a registered handset you must deregister all handsets that are registered to the telephone base Then register each handset individually To make deregistration easier read all of the instructions on this page before you begin Make sure that all handsets are out of the telephone base and chargers before you begin deregistration To deregister all handsets 1 Press and hold amp FIND HANDSET on the telephone base for about 10 seconds until the IN USE light on the telephone base turns on and starts flashing 2 Press and release amp FIND HANDSET again You must press a FIND HANDSET while the IN USE light is still flashing The IN USE light flashes for approximately seven seconds 3 The deregistration process takes about 10 seconds to complete All handsets show Put HS on BASE to register If deregistration fails you may need to reset the telephone base and try again To reset e Pick up the registered handset and then press FLASH OR e Unplug the power from the telephone base then plug it back in Es You cannot deregister all handsets if any other system handset is in use Getting started Handset layout CHARGE light On when the handset is charging in the telephone base 1 N or charger amp 1 A VOLUME directory volume Press to enter the direct

21. te and deactivate the energy saving charging mode To activate the energy saving charging mode 1 Unplug the telephone base power adapter from the power outlet Make sure all handsets are plugged with charged batteries before proceeding 2 While you press and hold W FIND HANDSET plug the telephone base power adapter back to the power outlet 3 After about 20 seconds when the IN USE light starts flashing release FIND HANDSET and then press it again within 2 seconds When the phone successfully enters the energy saving charging mode the IN USE light turns A off and all handsets display Put HS on BASE to register When the phone fails to enter this mode repeat Step 1 through Step 3 above Note The telephone base will be powered up as normal if you fail to press FIND HANDSET within 2 seconds in Step 3 To deactivate the energy saving charging mode 1 Unplug the telephone base power adapter from the power outlet then plug it back in Then the telephone base is powered up as normal 2 Register your handsets back to the telephone base See page 4 for handset registration instructions 12 Appendix About cordless telephones e Privacy The same features that make a cordless telephone convenient create some limitations Telephone calls are transmitted between the telephone base and the cordless handset by radio waves so there is a possibility that the cordless telephone conversations could be intercepted by radio receiving equipment wi
