4. 31 Taking Pictures Cont d When you press the shutter halfway and the green LED flashes This may suggest that the focusing on the subject is difficult and or the subject is too dark Should this be the case please take the following steps e Make sure that the camera is not too close to the subject then align the subject to the auto focus mark in the center of the viewfinder For the shooting distance see page 31 e If the subject is too dark such as a person in the shade use the flash pp 37 39 e Use a similar subject at the same distance and with the same brightness to adjust the auto focus and exposure After the focus lock is set aim at your original subject and shoot your picture p 33 32 Taking Pictures Cont d Shooting with Focus Lock If the subject you wish to focus on is not in the center of the screen use the focus lock mode 1 Align the auto focus mark on the subject and push the shutter button half way The green LED light will come on locking the focus position e The exposure is fixed at the same time the focus is locked If you release your finger from the half pushed shutter button the focus lock will be released and you can repeat the procedure 2 With the shutter button pressed half way re compose your photo and press the shutter button all the way to take the picture When re composing the photo do not change the shooting distance If the distan
