6. before the tape counter indicates the amount of remaining recording playing time before the counter reaches zero Follow the steps below to reset the tape counter to zero at a tape location you want to refer to later Play rewind or fast forward the tape to the location you would like to refer to later Press STOP to stop the tape 2 Press C RESET to set the counter to 0 00 00 SETUP Press A or V to select ZERO RETURN Then press ENTER The tape counter will appear on the screen When the tape reaches the point at which you set the counter to zero the tape will stop Press PLAY to watch the tape from the designated point 3 To return to this same point later press TV VCR SETUP TIMER PROGRAMMING SETTING CLOCK U V CHIP SET UP LANGUAGE ENGLISH CAPTION OFF gt ZERO RETURN TIME SEARCH INDEX SEARCH Sleep Timer Use the Sleep Timer to program the TV VCR DVD to shut off in a certain amount of time Press SLEEP until the correct amount of time 1 appears on the screen with SLEEP Fach press of SLEEP will increase the time by 30 minutes You may set a Sleep Timer of 30 60 90 or 120 minutes After five seconds the Sleep Timer information will disappear from the screen The TV VCR DVD will turn itself off after the selected amount of time has passed SLEEP 120 MINUTE To Cancel the Sleep Timer Press SLEEP until SLEEP 0 MINUTE appears aa ON PICTURE SLEEP SELECT

Helpful Hints To correct information while set ting the Timer Recording press 4 to go back one step and select the incorrect information Press or V to enter the cor rect information While a timer recording is in progress the red REC OTR light will flash If a timer recording is set for hours or days later you can use the TV VCR DVD until then Just be sure to turn off the TV VCR DVD about five minutes before the recording Set the Cable Box Satellite Receiver if appropriate If the record tab is missing the videotape will eject when you press STANDBY ON to turn off the TV VCR DVD Insert a recordable tape for the timer recording Timer Recording cont d 31 Extending a Timer Recording To make a Timer Recording start and end later than originally scheduled follow these steps 1 With the unit on press SETUP Press or to select TIMER PRO GRAMMING Press ENTER 2 Press RECORD then press or V to select the desired program 3 Press RECORD again Each press of RECORD will shift forward the beginning end time by 10 minutes If the recording is in progress each press will shift forward the end time only If you adjust the times during recording the recording speed automati cally changes to SLP To restore the original recording times press pause 4 Press SETUP to remove the menus 5 If the timer recording is scheduled to start later press STANDBY ON to turn off the TV VCR DVD fo
