4. only the light fixture supplied with this fan model 7 1 To attach the upper switch housing partially install two housing assembly screws into the switch housing mounting plate 7 2 Feed the upper plug connector through the center opening of the housing 7 3 Align the keyhole slots in the housing with the housing assembly J screws Housing Assembly Upper 7 4 Turn the housing counterclockwise until the housing assernb y Screw Switch screws are firmly situated in the narrow end of the keyhole slots Install the remaining screw into the housing Tighten all three screws firmly Housing A CAUTION Make sure the upper switch housing is securely attached to the switch housing mounting plate Failure to properly attach and tighten all three assembly screws could result in the switch housing and light fixture falling 7 5 If you want to install the light fixture proceed with step 7 6 now If you do not want to install the light fixture proceed with step 7 10 now l1 41818 01 e 03 12 09 Hunter Fan Company 7 Completing Your Installation With or Without a Light Fixture continued 7 6 Ted 7 8 Insert the black wire and white wire from the light fixture through the hole in the bottom on the lower switch housing Use the included nut and washer to attach the light fixture to the lower switch housing Securely tighten the nut and washer onto the end of the light fixture Insert

10. g from the canopy 9 41818 01 03 12 09 Hunter Fan Company 6 Assembling the Blades Hunter fans use several styles of fan blade irons brackets that hold the blade to the fan 6 1 Your fan may include blade grommets If your fan has grommets Step 6 1 Detail insert them by hand into the holes on the blades 6 2 Attach each blade to a blade iron using three blade assembly screws If you used grommets the blades may appear slightly loose after screws are tightened This is normal 6 3 Remove the blade mounting screws and rubber shipping bumpers from the motor Note Some blade mounting screws are installed in the motor to secure shipping blocks 6 4 For each blade insert one blade mounting screw through the blade iron and attach lightly to the fan Insert the second blade mounting screw then securely tighten both mounting screws Blade Assembly Use with grommet ews Use without grommet Blade Mounting Screw 10 41818 01 03 12 09 Hunter Fan Company Steps 7 1 7 3 7 Completing Your Installation With or Without a Light Fixture Your Hunter fan comes with an integrated light fixture assembly and an optional switch housing cap and plug button This feature gives you the option of installing the fan with OR without the included light fixture The steps below direct you whether or not you are installing a light fixture A WARNING Use
11. n may fall if not assembled as directed in these Step 3 6 installation instructions T You can assemble your fan for standard or angled mounting as shown in steps 3 1 3 4 on the previous page For low profile mounting ceilings less than 8 feet high see steps 3 5 3 11 on this page For Low Profile Mounting Note For low profile mounting the downrod is replaced with the low profile washer 3 5 Unbundle the wires from the fan 3 6 Remove the screw from the hanger ball on the downrod and Step 3 8 then remove the hook from the hanger ball i A CAUTION The adapter has a special coating on the threads Do not remove this coating the coating prevents the downrod from unscrewing Once assembled do not remove the downrod 3 7 Remove the setscrew from the adapter 3 8 Install the hook and two neoprene washers onto the adapter using the setscrew the top of the hook must hang over the adapter Note The screw should be tight but still allow the hook to rotate slightly 3 9 Place the low profile washer lip up into the canopy Be sure the green ground wire is pointing up toward the ceiling Low Profile Washer 3 10 Align the holes in the washer with the holes in the adapter Assemble securely with three low profile screws 3 11 Raise the fan and place the hook on the adapter through the loop on the ceiling plate Low Profile Screw 7
