Note Use of the standard Courtesy Service greeting does not require a Voice Module to be installed Programming Reference on page 118 provides an overview of all Extension and System Programming options Finally the Table of Contents is the easiest way to find information on a specific topic 13 Inter Tel 3000 Administrator s Manual DIGITAL TELEPHONE SETS There are two digital telephone sets one with eight and the other with sixteen programmable keys All of the digital telephone sets are highly featured display telephones They all have a four line display that contains prompts and menus with selectable options This unique menu driven interface makes the system simple to use and no codes are needed to program and activate features They are equipped with a data port positioned on the left hand side of the phone This data port is used primarily for a PC modem System settings are also programmed via a digital telephone The eight key digital telephone set has eight programmable keys which are pre programmed to access CO lines and four function keys that group frequently used features The sixteen key digital telephone set has sixteen programmable keys which are pre programmed to access CO lines and four function keys which group frequently used features The sixteen key digital telephone set can also be equipped with a DSS providing an additional 32 programmable keys The sets are equipped with a speakerphone so

Inter Tel 3000 Administrator s Manual ANSWERING CALLS When the digital telephone set rings you can do one of the following e Select Answer The Call on the display e Lift the handset e Press the speakerphone key From a standard analog telephone lift the handset when the phone is ringing Ignoring Calls Ringing Your Phone You can ignore an internal or external call ringing your phone You can do one of the following e Select a free line key to make an outgoing call e Select a line key with a call on system hold to return to the call on hold e Answer a different call by pressing the line key of the second ringing call e Press the key Dial tone is returned You can make a call or invoke a feature Re seize Line The Re seize Line option is displayed when dialing an external call and when an external call is answered If Re seize Line is selected the current call is released and the line is re seized presenting external dial tone This feature is not available to standard analog telephones 29 Inter Tel 3000 Administrator s Manual HOLDING AND TRANSFERRING CALLS System Hold You can place external calls on hold so that other telephones can retrieve the call or you can return to the call at a later stage To Place an External Call on System Hold While ona CO line call either press the Hold key or select System Hold on the display e The caller is placed on hold and Music on Ho

Change select Exit Confirm Inter Tel 3000 Administrator s Manual LOCAL CODES The Caller ID number presented from the network is the 10 digit national number It does not include the 1 that is required for toll calls The system must be able to distinguish between local and toll numbers This is achieved by entering the local codes under system programming When a number is received the three digit area code is compared to the codes entered in the Local Codes table If the digits do not match the digit 1 is added as the toll access digit and the number including the leading 1 is stored in the Caller ID store A table of 40 three digit codes is provided From the Programming extension press the PROGRAM key Press the Scroll Down key until System Programming is displayed Select System Programming Enter the System Programming Password and select Lines Press the Scroll Down key until Local Codes is displayed Select Local Codes Enter the index number required Enter the three digit code Press Confirm Press the speakerphone key to finish programming To Configure CO Lines There are various options to configure the analog line interfaces on your system It is recommended that these settings should only be altered from the original settings if there has been a change in the network connection From the Programming extension press the PROGRAM key Press the Scroll Down ke
