9. sed with the Prelude mattress and or the Prelude seat 3 Tuck the end flaps or attach the securing straps under the mattress 4 Refer to the comfort control setting and adjust the dial according to the patient s weight 5 Connect the pump to the mains power supply and switch it on at the pump At this stage both the mains power and low pressure indicators will illuminate 6 Cover the support surface with a loosely fitting sheet 7 When the low pressure indicator has extinguished the system is ready to use 4 Operation AN NOTE Always read the operating instructions before use 4 1 Function Description If required disconnect the hoses from the pump and join together The system will then equalise and retain mattress pressure once the pump has been switched off only possible where connectors are fitted 4 2 CPR Requirement If rapid deflation of the mattress is required simply disconnect the two hoses from the pump Or simply pull the CPR tag situated at the head end of the mattress 4 3 Infection Control Should the mattress become infected then please refer to our disinfection protocol for appropriate cleaning procedures 5 Cleaning The following guidelines are suggested by Park House Healthcare Ltd as being suitable infection control procedures Further information is available upon request 5 1 Pump Unit It is important to follow the cleaning procedures for single patient use General cleaning may be
