User manual Reuss RSH 03 Rowland S Howard pedal The Reuss RSH 03 is replicating Rowland S Howard s basic pedal set up combining the sound and circuits of his two 1970s pedals into one compact unit The pedal offers true vintage sound and response thanks to meticulous research and the use of real vintage new old stock parts The pedal is endorsed by the Rowland S Howard estate who contributed to the development For each pedal sold 9 is donated to cancer research Controls e blend Mixes the monophonic two octave down synth tone into the fuzz sound With blend all the way up clockwise you only hear the synth tone and none of your guitar signal is coming through The tracking of the tone is all analogue and hard to control It will also try to track a tone from the hum of your guitar and it gets easily confused Expect the unexpected It s the nature and the lo fi charm of the pedal to sound sick e blue out sets the output level volume of the blue fuzz circuit e distortion controls the amount of distortion of the distortion part of the pedal e plus out controls the output level of the distortion part of the pedal e blue footswitch turns the fuzz circuit on and off indicated by the blue LED at the right side e plus footswitch turns the distortion circuit on and off indicated by the red LED at the left side e Dip switch internal Inside the pedal you ll find2. a small black dip switch at the right hand side of the cir cuitboard see small picture The switch is only there because the RSH 03 shares circuit board with the Reuss ET 01 Evil Twin pedal which features an alternative switchable set of clipping diodes At the RSH 03 the 2 side of the switch is not connected to anything and the 1 side connects to the germanium clipping diodes If you switch it OFF then the clipping diodes is no longer in the circuit The result is that the distortion effects turns into a loud booster which eventually makes the op amp C chip distort when you turn the distortion control way up It s not an intended function but it s there if you wish to experiment Maybe you ll find the boost effect useful Connectors e jaguar is the input of the unit Connect your guitar here e twin reverb is the output Connect your amp here e There is a 9V DC connector for an external power supply at the top edge of the unit This is a standard guitar pedal negative centre type jack ONLY use this type Reversing the polarity will damage the pedal Please note The unit is drawing power from the battery when there is a jack in the input connector Alway remove the input jack when the pedal is not in use if you are running it with a battery Battery access e Remove the four screws at the bottom side of the pedal with a philips head screwdriver to remove the bottom plate and gain acces
